The combat system inWuthering Wavesis arguably one of its main attractions, and it’s also a core mechanic that you have to take part in if you want to play the game. While you can easily defeat all the overworld enemies, the game forces you to use the dodge and counter mechanics for boss fights.
Feilian Beringal is one such boss, and you can find it in the southern parts of Huanglong. When you teleport to a nearby beacon, you simply have to run into the Giant Banyan tree to find a way to this boss.

How To Defeat Feilian Beringal
Before you start thinking about defeating Feilian Beringal, you’ll first have to learn how to dodge its attacks, especially if the enemy’s level is way higher than yours. Here are all the attacks you’ll be able to see from this boss:
First Phase
Slash Attack
This is the most common attack that you’ll see from the Beringal. In it, you’ll first see its arms glow and then it’ll sweep them across the field. You can easily dodge it by timing it as it’s about to hit you.
In the second phase, it swings the tree in its hand around instead. However, thedodge timing remains roughly the same.
Ground Smash
This is another common attack from this enemy, and it smashes the ground one or two times in it. This can be a little hard to dodge, butyou have to time it just before its contactwith the ground.
In the second phase, it puts the tree on the ground anduses it to kick forward instead.
Grab Attack
This is a parryable attack that you’ll commonly see from this enemy. It’snot hard to dodge since it has to be very precise, but if you parry it in time, the Beringal’s white bar takes massive damage.
Ground Waves
In this attack, the enemy hits its chest three times before unleashing aset of ground waves in a circular pattern. There will be three waves that you’ll have to dodge here.
Once you get the timing right, you can use thisattack to trigger multiple counters on the enemy.
Second Phase
Enhanced Waves
Once you reduce the Feilian’s HP to 70 percent, the second phase triggers where it gets a tree. In this phase, it unleashes anenhanced groundwave attack that gets a lot harder to dodge
.Apart from being difficult, you also can’t unleash counterattacks for this oneunless you use a Rectifier or Pistol character.
Spin Attack
This is likely the most lethal attack from Feilian Beringal. In it, you’ll first see it scream, forming some wind currents on the field, and then it’ll swing the tree vigorously for a few seconds.
You have to time your dodges quite precisely for this one, but the best way to avoid this attack is byusing your glider to go high with the wind currentand stay up there until the enemy stops spinning.
The second phase only happenswhen you’re fighting this boss in Tactical Hologram, and you won’t see it in the overworld boss.
Feilian Beringal has a decent cooldown after it performs any of these attacks, which makes it perfect for you to get some damage in. For this fight, you’d want to havecharacters that can deal consistent damagesince you don’t get a long window for burst damage unless you break its white bar.
The enemy also has high RES to Aero DMG, so it’s recommended to avoid any characters with this damage type. However, you canstill defeat the normal overworld boss quite easily even if you use one of them.
Feilian Beringal Rewards
The rewards you get from Feilian Beringal differ based on where you fight it. If you’re fighting the normal overworld boss in the Great Banyan, you’llhave to spend 60 Waveplate to get the following rewardsafter victory:
The amount of rewards you get here depends on your current SOL phase.
Apart from all that, you also have a chance of getting theFeilian Beringal echowhenever you defeat the boss, and you don’t have to spend your Waveplate for it. On the other hand, if you beat specific difficulties of this boss in Tactical Hologram, you’re able to get echoes, Data Set, Echo EXP, Shell Credits, and Astrite.
