How To Tame Horses
There are currently two means of taming horses in Horse Life. The first involves mounting your equipped horse and using a lasso to capture your next equine. The second method involves feeding them treats. However, horses can get startled, so we have some tips that can help!
You canco-tame horses to get helpfrom friends, but only the rider that initiates the tame will get the equine.
The other rider will have achance to get a foalversion of the equineor a random loot drop!
Lasso Tame
Totame a horse with a lasso, you’ll need tohave it equippedin your hotbar. You canonly use a lasso while riding a horse, so mount your favorite steed and set off to find another equine.
When you find an equine you want to tame,get within range and left-clickwith your mouse. The equine will start running, but a bar of hearts will be over their head. You need tofill every heartto successfully tame your new friend!
Each lasso has a cooldown, so keep up with the equine and continue to left-click to raise the number of hearts. Once the hearts are full, you’ll be able toname your new equineand see a fulloverview of their stats and value.
Feed Tame
You can also tame your next equine by feeding it treats. This is a good option if you’re low on funds and can’t afford a lasso or if you have trouble keeping up with the other equines.
To feed tame, you’ll need to equip snacks to your hotbar. These can be purchased from the town store or you can forage for them in the wild. When you’re ready, head out into the wild to find your next equine.
Snacks have several rarities, and different equines will have different preferences. Their favorite snacks will add more hearts!
You’ll need tosneak up to them carefullyso you don’t spook them. A question mark will appear over their head when you get close, at which point you canfeed the equineby interacting with them.
A popup will appear where you’ll need toleft-click when the marker is in the pink sectionof the lasso. Continue todo this until all the hearts are full, similar to how you can lasso tame an equine. Once that’s done, you cansee the equine’s stats and name thembefore selling them or adding them to your stable.
How To Unlock More Horses
You canunlock even more equines by completing taming missionsfor different species,like Equus and Unicorns. These missions can beviewed by opening your journaland looking at the Species tab.
New species canonly be unlocked sequentially, and once you’ve completed every mission for a new species,you’ll receive a foalfrom that species and theability to tame them yourself.
