You can opt for a physical damage-oriented build with your trusty fork that has been with you since the beginning of the adventure, or you can focus on a spell damage build using the Umami power. Alternatively, you can forget about all that and turn Kril into a tank to minimize damage taken.
To accomplish these, it’s not enough to adjust your stats; you also need to equip the stowaways to suit your build. There are quite a few stowaways in the game, and finding them isn’t exactly easy. Luckily for you, we’ve prepared this guide.

There are atotal of 68 stowawaysin the game. Some stowaways may have multiple acquisition methods, while others may drop from various enemy types. Additionally, don’t forget toincrease your stowaway capacityto be able to equip more stowaways.
To find the stowaways mentioned in this guide, don’t forget tostart from the nearest Moon Snail Shell.

The Shallows - Central Shallows
Proceed west. As you approach the wall, you willsee three rusty columns of a bridgeto the southwest. You will find this stowawaybehind the farthest column.

Proceed straight east.Pass through the sand wall gate. In this corridor-like area, go a bit east, then head west. At the end of the cliff, you will see this stowawaybetween two crayon fences.

Proceed straight east.Pass through the sand wall gate. In this corridor-like area,go between the first and second sand towersclosest to the entrance. Climb onto the rock there. Look up, and you will see a hook above you. Grab the hook and reach another hook to the south. After landing on top of the sand tower,jump to the area to the south.You will find the stowaway on thestone hill with the umbrella pole.

Reach the location of the previous stowaway. Go to thesouthwest edge of the cliffand use the hook in front of you to jump to thetower with the yellow fishnet.You will find this stowaway on top of the tower.
Additionally, this stowaway can alsodrop from certain enemies. For example, there is a chance to obtain this stowaway bydefeating the laser-shooting massive crabsfound in The Unfathom.

Head south and climb the hill to the east,where the red flip-flop touches.Move towards the south part of the hill, and you willsee a hook ahead.Jump and grab that hook, then turn west in mid-air and grab the second hook. While in mid-air,turn south and you will see a wallwith a red and white patterned awning below you. The stowaway is on top of this wall.

Head north andenter Fort Slacktide(it should be in its corrupted state). As soon as you enter through the fort gate, you will see the blue glow of this stowaway to theleft of the gunk pool.

It is located on the wallsouth of the Moon Snail Shell.Between two execution poles.

Enter the tower located northeast of the Moon Snail Shell. Climb onto the tower using the fishnet. You will find this stowawayat the top of the tower.

The Shallows - Moon Snail’s Cave
Head south, then turn west and enter the cave. Reach thegreen fishnet.Then, use the fishing rod shortcut to your west to climb up. Continue a bit further west, and you will arrive at a cave with jellyfish.Go towards the second jellyfishclosest to the entrance, in the southwest direction. Ride the jellyfish across, and it will take you to the area where the stowaway is located.

Once youreach the settlement-like area, lean your back against the pink triangular structure andhead towards the large nailin the northwest direction. After a bit of progress, you will see this stowaway on your left.

Start at the peak where the Central Vista fast travel point is located.Move to the green coral platform on the peak, then proceed to the orange coral platform. Walk over the orange coral platform, then you willreach another small green coral platform, and you will see this stowaway to your south.

Start at the peak where the Central Vista fast travel point is located.Move towards the fishing rodon the peak and jump down towards the east. After landing,proceed northeastbut don’t stray too far. Fall into thehidden sand pit. If you can’t find this sand pit trap, proceed carefully, observing the sand. You will find this stowaway inside the pit.
(25 VIT Required)The soul of a financially-savvy fish.
You need to head towards the area with many chains that you see towards the west after jumping from the fast travel point’s hilltop. As you go a bit west andreach the icon of a single chain on your map, proceed northwest. Below one of the chains, next to a gravestonewith two Heartkelp Pods, you’ll find the stowaway.

From the hilltop where the fast travel point is located, jump towards the west. After going a bit west and reaching the icon of asingle chain on your map, head southwest. Take the cliff to your right. As you progress enough, you’llsee a hill with a boomboxto the west. Jump down from there and head a bit more towards the northwest. Beyond the pink umami swirl, you’llsee a partially buried Umami Cube.Breaking it with Mantis Punch will reveal this stowaway.

In the northeast of where the previous stowaway was, you’llsee a robot crab.Use the Eelectrocute adaptability on it, and a magnet will come to this area. Use the magnet, along with a steel-type shell, to go up. Get to the top of the blue fishnet. Here, when youdefeat an enemy similar to the Polluted Platoon Pathfinder, which is like a miniboss in the game, you’ll obtain this stowaway.
(40 VIT Required)-70% Affliction Buildup from pollutants.
Start from where you retrieved the previous stowaway and fought the enemy similar to the Polluted Platoon Pathfinder.Head towards the anchor to your eastand lean against the cliff. From this angle, you’ll see the yellow glimmer of the stowaway on top of the anchor.

The Sands Between - Secluded Ridge
(To obtain this stowaway by reaching the Moon Snail Shell, you need todefeat Grovekeeper Topodaand learn the Mantis Punch adaptation.)
Open your map and head north towards the broom. Move forward a bit and then open your map again to locate the area to theleft of the broom.Here, you will find watermelon rinds on the ground. To the west of the watermelon rinds, there is abox resembling an egg carton.You will find the stowaway inside this box. Additionally, if you look carefully at your map, you will see the icon for this carton.

At the location where you found the previous stowaway, you will see an Umami Cube.Break it, and an air current will appear. Use the air current to ascend and latch onto the hook to the east. After reaching the second hook, you will see the yellow glow of the stowawayon the ledge with seaweed.

The Sands Between - Flotsam Runoff
Proceed westward. Reach the areawhere the robot crab is locatedand activate it with the Eelectrocute adaptability. Cross to the other side via the bridge brought by the crane. Head southwest, and after climbing the steps, turn to the east. You’ll find this stowawayin front of the red coral.
+6 MSG, +2 RES.
Start from where the previous adaptation was found. Jump to the hill to the south. Proceed southward by climbing over the orange and yellow coral platforms. From the hilltopwith two domino stoneson it, head south again and cross to the other side using the sponge. Use the hook to climb onto the top of the hill from the orange and yellow coral platforms. Bydefeating the electrically damaging green lobsterhere, you can obtain this stowaway.

The Sands Between - Expired Knoll
Go south and pass through the lifebuoy. After passing through it, head east. In this area, you’ll see a hook ahead. Use the hook to cross over, thenactivate the robot crabwith the Eelectrocute adaptability. A panel with blue hooks will appear in front of you. Cross over using the hooks. Jump to the ledge with pistol shrimps to the east. Look east again, and you’llsee two sausages on the opposite ledge.In front of them, you’ll find this stowaway.

Start where the previous stowaway was. Head east and use the hook to cross over to the opposite ledge. Once there,defeat the electrically damaging green lobsterto obtain this stowaway.

Proceed northwest andcross the bridge. When you reach the end of the bridge, turn north. You will see a hook ahead.Stand under the hookand turn south. Above you, you’llsee a long red fishnet.Use the two hooks to the south to reach that fishnet. Once you climb to the top of the platform, proceed west and pass through the horizontal milk carton. Move across the cartons andat the end of the platform, you will see another red fishnet. Climb onto it andonto the brown milk carton.If you look south, you will see the yellow glow of this stowaway.

Expired Grove - Oil Drum
Proceed eastward andpass through the car tire.Continue following the path and pass through the second car tire as well. You will see sugar canes acting as direct supports to the platforms under the cliff. Move towards thestone with the third sugar cane, which is the one furthest to your left. Climb onto the small stone protrusion to the right of this sugar cane. You willsee two hooksto the south. Use them to reach the platforms to the south. When you land next to the brown milk carton, continue moving southward. You will find this stowawayinside the blue milk carton.

Proceed westward and jump over the bottles to cross over. Head southwest. Climb up the hill where the bottles are and you willsee a sponge at the end.Use the sponge to reach the opposite hill. Climb onto the blue fishnet and cross over. Use the hook in the north of this area toreach the oil drum.
Climb onto the red fishnet, and turn left. Proceed over the orange coral andjump onto the pink coralusing the sponge to the north. Move south and cross over using the hook. Proceed east over the yellow coral. Jump from the sponge ahead, andgrab onto the yellow fishnet.Move to the right and reach the red fishnet.
Climb onto another red fishnet above. Proceed to the right andjump down next to the shortcut fishing rod below.Look east from the yellow coral where the fishing rod is. You willsee a pizza boxthere, and you need to jump to the hill where it is. You will find the stowaway on top of this hill.

Cross over the bottles to the southwest.Keep the cliff on your leftand continue heading southwest. Proceed north and follow the path. After advancing enough, you willsee a hook abovein the northeast direction. First, you need to head south from the fast travel point. In this direction, you willsee a gray, weathered gas cylinder.It may not look much like a cylinder from a distance, but enter this cylinder and defeat the enemy inside that resembles theRoyal Shellsplitter.Doing so will earn you this stowaway.

From the gray gas cylinder where the previous stowaway was located, head west.Reach the end of the wooden platformand take the blue glow to obtain this stowaway.

Climb onto the stone pillar with thebottom part of the red fishing netto the northeast of the fishing rod. Jump into the water from the east side. In the water, you will see a crackbetween a battery and a nailin the northeast direction. By collecting the blue glow there, you can obtain this stowaway.

Go to the underwater areawhere you found the previous stowaway.While in the water, move to the end of the cliff to the northeast and you will see another red fishing net. Head south. Jump onto thestone pillar with the Lil Red Cup shellon it.
Jump to the stone area to the southwest andclimb up the yellow fishing net.Proceed northeast. After going a bit north, turn east and you willsee white patterned stoneswith a crab holding a corkscrew. Defeat the crab and you’re able to collect the stowaway behind it.

Flotsam Vale - Sorting Chamber
Wait for the magnetto arrive. Attach to the magnet and descend to its final stop. Proceed east. Go to the end of the south direction and climb the stairs.Jump to the roof of the elevatorlocated to the west. From there, jump onto the continuation of the stairs. When you reach the middle of the path with metal plates, jump down to the south. You will find this stowawaynext to the crabs with two box shells.

Go to where the previous stowaway was. Go to the side of the electrical cable, and from here,looking down towards the north, you will see a yellow fishnet. Jump onto it. Move forward on the platform, and you willsee a crack in the wall to the north with sea urchins, jump from there to get out.
Before falling all the way down,grab onto the green fishing netoutside the wall. Proceed to the right. Attach to the magnet above you, and you will see a room inside the building. Enter there andopen the oyster insideto obtain this stowaway.

Flotsam Vale - Mag-Rail Platform
Climb up thestairs located to the east.Jump onto the rusty iron beam with a crab on it located to your west. Cross over the cable and proceed east. Fromnext to the sea urchin, jump down to the area below with electrical cables located to the southeast. On the metal plate platform to thenorth of this area, you will see the yellow glow of this stowaway.
Greatly increases microplastics rewards.
From where the previous stowaway was found, jump to the southwest area.Use the hook located to your westto climb onto the roof of the building. Here, two green lobsters are causing electrical damage. If youdefeat the one on the left, this stowaway will be yours.

Climb up to the roof where you obtained the previous stowaway.Behind the cube in the northeast area, you will find this stowaway.

Enter thegas cylinder located to the west.Jump up with the sponge and proceed to the right of another gas cylinder located to the southwest, thenenter the building to your south.Enter through the crack located southeast of the building, and you will see a moving iron with a yellow fishnet; jump onto it.
Move to the right of the fishnet andjump onto the roof.You will find this stowaway at thebase of the crane armrotating in a circular motion. Use the rotating magnet in a circular shape to reach the height where its base is located.

The Unfathom - Hermit’s Plateau
Go southwest and reach the corridor with whiteobjects resembling the letter S. At the end of the corridor, head west and reach a pink glowstick. Go south and reach a red glowstick, then proceed west to reach a yellow glowstick. From there, head northwest to reach another pink glowstick. Continue west andreach a stone with another pink glowstick.
Cross over using the stone columns to your southwest.Take the cliff to your leftand head southeast. Jump to the stone to the east when you reachin front of the pale green glowing sea plant.Then jump to the north stone and proceed northeast. You’ll find this stowaway inside the ruined structure there.

Go southwest and reach the corridor withobjects resembling the letter S.At the end of the corridor, head west andreach a pink glowstick.Reach the edge of the cliff located northwest, and there you’ll see the blue shimmer of this stowaway.

Go to the edge of the cliff where you obtained the previous stowaway. Cross overusing the hooks located northwest.Traverse over the stone columns and look west. There you’llsee a green glowstick.Climb to the top where the glowstick is located, and if you look north, you’llsee an oysteron a stone. Swim across, open the oyster, and obtain the stowaway.
(38 MSG Required)-50% Umami Regeneration. +15 MSG.
Proceed southeast and head towards thearea with two pink glowsticks.Move south and cross over the stone pillars. Then, jump to the stone pillar to the northeast anduse the air current ahead to jumpto the elevated area to the south. When the path splits, take the left path, and use the hooks to cross over.
Continue through the corridor until you reach the Abyssal Plains. Head southeast from there, and you’llcome across a Heartkelp Pod.Proceed from its southwest side andreach the pale blue glowing plant. Use the hook to ascend to the west, and you’ll find this stowaway on the northwest side of the hill where another Heartkelp Pod is located.

The Unfathom - Luminous Respite
Cross over with the hooks to the north of the fast travel point. You’ll see an oyster nestled among thepale green plants in the centerof this area. Open it to obtain this stowaway.

Next to the oyster where you obtained the previous stowaway,look southwest. You’ll see the blue shimmer of the stowaway. Climb up onto the rock where it’s located and collect it.

The Old Ocean - Bleached Glade
Follow the path south, then head east.Without leaving the path, continue north. When you reach the stone hut, head northwest. You’ll see a single stone hut to the north, go towards it. Use the floating stones and the hook to the northeast toreach the next area. With the stone hut on your right, head east. You’llsee rectangular floating stones; use the hooks to cross them. Once you reach the other side, you’ll find this stowaway.
(35 MSG Required)+67% Umami Regeneration from attacking.
The Old Ocean - City Gates
Head north. Move towards the gate in the northwest and,before entering the gate, turn north and climb up. Go east from this elevated area and you will see the stowaway at theend of the long stone platform.
+9 VIT.
Start from where you found the previous stowaway. Head west from the long stone platform, and you’llsee a small floating stone islandwith two seahorses on your right. Jump to it and go northwest. Look up tofind a grapple point.Use the grapple to get launched upwards, and before falling, use another grapple point to go even higher.
Jump west using the blue sponge, then use another blue sponge on the floating stone to the east toreach a roof-like area. The stowaway you are looking for will be inside an oyster there.
(10 RES Required)+25% Healing Effectiveness.
The Old Ocean - Lookout Tower
Cross the toilet paper bridge and head south. When you reach a hallway-like area, you’llsee a foam spray on your left.Use it to reach the area to the east. In the middle of this area,use the faucet handle, which will cause the chained rocks to the east to rise.
Quickly use the grapple points on these rocks to cross to the other side, as you’ll need to hurry to reach the high balcony-like area. On the south side of this structure, you’llsee a blue fishnet.Look down to the south from there, and you’ll spot the yellow glow of the stowaway.
+6 ATK, +2 VIT.
Start from where you found the previous stowaway. Head backup to the blue fishnetto your north. From the north side of the balcony-like structure, look down tosee a wooden area below.Use the floating stones to reach it. Once you’re on the wooden platform, look carefully below tospot a faucet handle.Jump down to it, and open the oyster there to obtain this stowaway.

Turn east and jump onto thefloating stone with the blue fishnet, then reach the opposite structure. Use the stairs in the structure to climb to the top. Head to thewest side where the scissors are located,and descend the stairs. Stop at the spot with the tennis ball shell in front, and enter the passage on your left. Inside, you will find this stowaway.

Go to the spot with the tennis ball shell that you saw while retrieving the previous stowaway. This time, instead of entering the passage on your left,descend the stairs on your right.Jump down to the area with the blue fishnet. Head west a bit, and you willsee an Umami Cube on your left.Break it and jump down to collect this stowaway.
