Penacony Grand Theater was mentioned at the very start of the region’s story inHonkai: Star Rail, and it was obvious that the final play of this story will happen in this area. This finally came to fruition during the Version 2.2 update, which also opened up the area for exploration.
The theater is a huge area itself, but it also features four expansions where you can enter a completely different area by going through a portal. You’ll have to get all the chests in these expansions to 100 percent your exploration progress.
Main Theater Area Chest Locations
To make the process easier, we’ll divide the Penacony Grand Theater into various parts, starting with the main theater where you don’t have to take any portals.
How To Get

Teleport to the bottom Anchor and you’ll find this cheston the lower edge.

This chest can be found deep inside theroom right beside the Space Anchor.

You can clearly see this chest on theright side in the hallwayto the main entry.

Head to the room right in front of chest three and this chest will betucked on the left sidedeep in this room.

This is the warp trotter of this area, and it can be found as soon as you gothrough the main entrance.

After going down the main entrance stairs, take the left path to find this chest on apedestal-type platformextending to the stage.

Head to the path in front of chest number six andkeep going until the area opens up. Here, you’ll find the chest tucked in the left corner.

ThisLordly Trashcan can be foundsitting on the counter near the seventh chest.

Head to the small room right in front of Lordly Trashcan’s location to get this one.

Start going out of this secluded area through thepath opposite of the one you entered from, and you’ll find it tucked on the left side.

This one can be found on the top left side of the theater, on anextended platform to the leftof the main stage.

Go to the Space Anchor near the main entrance of the theater and take the right path this time. Head into thesecluded room on your rightand you’ll find this chest as you go forward a bit.

This is the second Lordly Trashcan found on thestairs that are going upwardnear chest number 12.

This chest can be found sitting on top of the counter in themain area near the second Lordly Trashcan.

You can only get these three chests afterbeating the final Hanu’s Adventure here, which can in turn only be unlocked after beating every other Hanu’s Adventure in Penacony.

Head out of the secluded area and you’ll find this oneon an extended platform in front.
Chest Locations In Act I Area
Apart from the main area, you’ll find the rest of your chests in the three act expansions. Youhave to go through these expansions during the main storyas well. you may find the first act expansion on the left path from the main theater area. Here’s what you need to do to find all the chests:
You’ll find the first chest as soon as you enter this expansion andgo down the first set of stairs.
Keep following the only path you see and you’ll eventually stumble upon this in alittle secluded area to the left.
Move the first module and cross the area. In the next area, you’ll see another module that can be moved.
But before you move this to go forward, you canmake a bridge on one side to get another chest.
Move the module after collecting chest three andprogress forward. You’ll find this chest on your path.
Before proceeding further down, you can headdown the stairs here and move the moduleto get this chest.
Move the module back and reach theend of this areato find the last chest.
Chest Locations In Act II Area
The second act features quite a lot of chests, but most of them are considered puzzle chests since you have to solve various Dream Jigsaw puzzles during the main quest to get these chests. You can see the puzzle chests marked on the map even after you solve the puzzle,but these don’t count for the area’s exploration treasure.
This act features only two main exploration chests. The first one can be found by turning rightwhen the path gets divided into two and then following this path. The second one, just like the first act, will be at the very end of the area.
Chest Locations In Act III Area
The final act can be found on the right path from the main entrance of the theater. Here are the locations of thefinal few chests you can find in Penacony Grand Theater:
To find the first chest, head to the path on the right when it gets divided in this area anduse the Bubble Bridge once.
For the second chest, head back to the main area andtake the path on the left. Use the Bubble Bridge twice to find the chest on the right side.
This chest can be found after moving themodule in front of chest twoand using a couple more Bubble Bridges.
You’ll already be able to see this chest from chest three, but you’llhave to move the module from the right mechanismhere to get to it.
The final chest can once again be foundat the endof this area.
Besides these chests, you may also get a few in the fourth expansionfound in the secluded area to the right side.
These chestsdon’t count for your overall exploration, but they give generous rewards.
Much like every other area of Penacony, you’ll also find various chests hidden behindpuzzles like the Dream Tickeror Formidable Foe battles. These also don’t count for your overall exploration,but they give better rewards than Basic Treasure.
