Beating Chronos, Titan of Time, would become nearly impossible without strengthening Melinoe, and therefore, you need to be always on the lookout for gathering materials during the runs.
The Lotus item is a useful early-game resources that unlock basic to advanced-level incantations. Like Molly, Moss, and Myrtle, the Lotus is another item you gather without unlocking any tools. This guide explains how to find and get Lotus and where to use it in the game.
How To Get Lotus
You canget a Lotus item in the Oceanus biome. Reaching the second biome requires you tocomplete encounters in the first biome, Erebus, anddefeating Headmistress Hecate.
Thespawning of a Lotus item is a randomevent on Oceanus. It couldbe replaced by another item,such as Limestone, during a particular run. Therefore, if you do not find a Lotus item throughout your run while completing Oceanus, youmust do another run to increase your chancesof spawning a Lotus.
Unlike most gathering materials that can only be collected if you have a certain tool, Melinoedoes notneed specialized toolsto collect a Lotus. She cangather this item with her hands.

Unraveling a Fateful Bond
Melinoe’s health stops taking passive damagewhen she visitssurface levels. This does not apply to active damage received by foes.
Observance of Gaia’s Secrets
Melinoereceives a 20 percent chance to acquire one more resourcewhile gathering materials.
