With the arrival of the Dawntrail expansion toFinal Fantasy 14, there’s a new race for your Warrior of Light: female Hrothgar, or Hrothgals as the community has lovingly labeled them. Now’s the time to give your WoL a new look!
Even if you don’t want to be a Hrothgal, you still might want to change up your WoL to give them a new vibe for their adventures in Tural and, fortunately, there’s now an in-game sidequest that’ll give you a phial of Fantasia for free to do just that. Here’s what you need to know.
Where To Find The ‘Bottled Fantasy’ Sidequest
Head toUl’dah - The Steps of Thaland speak with theMedicine Merchantat(X:13.4 Y:9.2)to accept the quest.
This is a Level 1 quest, however, you must have completed the main scenario quest ‘The Scions of the Seventh Dawn’ in order to accept it.
After speaking with the shifty-looking guy, head toUl’dah - The Steps of Naldand speak with theDiminutive Gladiatorat(X:10.3, Y:9.2)to hand over the mysterious liquid.
Return to theMedicine MerchantinUl’dah - The Steps of Thalat(X:13.4 Y:9.2)and hand over his payment for a short cutscene.
With the quest complete, you’ll now have your own phial of Fantasia!
How Do I Use Fantasia?
You simplyuse the Fantasia from within your inventoryto start the process.
Ensure you unequip all your gear before you log out, or you will not be able to edit the character editor. If you forget, simply log back in, remove the gear, then log back out again.
From the character selection screen, choose the sub menu andselect ‘Re-edit Character’. We havea full guide on changing your appearance with Fantasia here.
