However, despite the importance of catching fish, fishing rod is not automatically given to you. You will need to find an alternative way to acquire one. There are different ways to get recipes and next-level tools that are not glaringly obvious.
How To Get A Fishing Rod
There are only two ways you can acquire a fishing rod at the start of the game. The first is to simplypurchase a simple fishing rod from Rose Swaynefor 85 gold. Rose can also have an Iron fishing rod in rotation, which is sold for 295 gold.
If you are low on money and can’t afford to purchase a fishing rod, you can get one another way.
Each NPC’s quest rewards relate to their job or daily activity. Rose Swayne is the town fisher and one of her quest rewards is a fishing rod. Keepcompleting Rose Swayne’s quest to earn a fishing rod.
How To Get
Simple
Sold by Rose Swayne for 85 gold. Can also be rewarded for completing one of her quests.
Redeemed during the Fishing Contest for having 500 tokens.
How To Get Bait
When you fish in Echoes of The Plum Grove, you may not always get lucky. Sometimes you will fish out seaweed or trash instead of a valuable fish.Using baitincreases your chances of just getting fish. This is especially useful for quests that require you to capture multiple of the same fish.
Bait is necessary if you don’t want to get seaweed every other hook.Bait can either be crafted or purchased.
Rose Swaynesells bait for 22 gold each. You can also unlock the bait recipe. To unlock crafting recipes, you need to upgrade your crafting skill by crafting constantly.
How To Fish
The fishing mini-game in this game is unlike others. To win the game, you have to use your movement controls tocatch the moving hook.
If there are too many twists and turns,verify you are only using one directional key at a time.If you cannot catch the hook, your line breaks and you lose the game.
Every Fishing Location
There are different fishing locations in Echoes of The Plum Grove. Each location produces fish native to that body of water.
It’s important to know which body of water carries which fish becausesome quests will ask for a specific fish type.
If an NPC is asking for a fish you’ve never caught before,hover over the fish in the quest logto read which body of water you can find it in.
