Fallout 76’s Skyline Valley update brings new characters, items, and quests to Appalachia starting in the new zone in the southeast. The Skyline Valley main quest continues when you meet Audrey Stolz at the Vault 63 Meteorology Center following Hugo’s instructions.
The Stolz family is certainly one of a kind, and their goals are still unclear at this point, so you’re stuck running errands for now. However, one of those errands might help to dispel the horrible storm raging over the Skyline Valley, so it’s worth your time. Weather aside, there are some unique rewards to come at the end of Seeking Shelter.
How To Start Seeking Shelter
Completing the Between The Lines questand finishing your conversation with Audrey Stolz will immediately start theSeeking Shelter quest.
Audrey is happy to have the blueprints you delivered, butshe needs a spare weather machine partto get hers up and running again.
She advises you tohead over to the Shenandoah Visitor Center, where a man named Kevin Harriscan get you a replacement weather machine part.
When you arrive at theShenandoah Visitor Center, head inside,and you’ll encounter a panicking man namedKevin Harris; talk to himand he’ll calm down.
Once you ask Kevin about the weather monitor, he tells youhe has the spare part you need in his bunker– there’s just one problem.
Unfortunately, the door to Kevin’s Bunker is jammed, but luckily,there’s a second door downstairs in the basement.
Kevin needs your help getting to the basement, soyou’ll need to head downstairsto assess the situation.
There’s a group of Mothman Cultistscamped downstairs performing rituals. They attack you on sight, so there’s no opportunity to do anything butclear them out.
Once you’ve cleared out the Cultists,report back to Kevin,who should be downstairs with you at this point.
Kevin will thank you for your help and approach a keypad to unlock the metal door blocking the passage to his bunker.
While en route,stay ready with your best weapons, as several Radroaches and Mole Rats will attempt to ambush you and Kevin on your journey to his bunker.
Follow Kevin to the doorat the end of the tunnel and up into his bunker.
How To Install The Weather Machine Repair Part
Kevin grants you access to his old weather machine – approach it and interact tograb the spare weather machine part that Audrey needs.
From here,travel back to the Hawksbill weather stationto deliver the part to Audrey.
Audrey gets distracted and asks you to install the spare weather machine part in her machine for her.
Your destination is thelarge circular room with the black computer.
Don’t go all the way upstairs, which leads to the upper section of the room. If you’re in front of a laser wall, you’ve gone too far.
Leave the room andfollow the hallways into the large center chamberhousing the weather machine – a large black computer across from the metal railings.
Approach the computer and interact with it to successfullyinstall the weather machine repair part.

Once you’ve installed the part, you’ll immediately receive your rewards:
Once you’ve received your rewards, a dialogue with Audrey will trigger, immediately leading into theOldest Trick In The Book quest.
