Fallout 76’s Skyline Valley update introduced us to a new section of Appalachia in the southeastern area of the map. Skyline Valley is a dangerous location featuring a raging storm, new weapons, and a new faction of folks called the Lost. With both friendly and hostile Lost walking around, you’ll need to keep your wits about you.
One Lost, Hugo Stolz, is the Overseer of Vault 63 and can be found in Dark Hollow Manor early in your adventure through Skyline Valley. Hugo will be your main quest-giver and is one of the most crucial new characters in Fallout 76’s Skyline Valley update.
How To Start Between The Lines
Once you’vefinished the Into Lands Unknown questandThe Calm Before,you’ll need totalk to Hugo Stolzat his desk to start the next quest,Between The Lines.
After speaking to Hugo, he’ll enlist yourhelp opening the safe behind his desk.Only one person had access to the key – Huge’s incapacitated wife, Cassidy.
Hugo sends youupstairsto a room where you cansearch for Cassidy’s journal to help you find cluesabout where the key may be.
Check the table immediately in front of you as you enter the room, and you’ll findCassidy’s journal on the lower shelf.
The journal points you in the direction of the waterfall inVault 63’s Gardenarea – head downstairs and through the wide doors to search for Cassidy.
When you arrive in the Garden, inspect the area to theleft of the waterfall.
Behind the vines,follow a hidden passage until you reach a door.
After you enter, turn toward the jammed door with afuse boxnext to it.
Inspecting the fuse box will display a note saying you can break it with one hit.Melee itand the door will open.
Progress through the unlocked door and down the corridor tofind Cassidylying on a bed in a coma.
Interact with Cassidyto take the key from her.
You’re interrupted by Hugo, but once his outburst is done,use the key on the safe behind Hugo’s deskand grab theblueprints.
There are other documents in the safe, like theletter to a hitman,which you can take to blackmail Hugo if you choose.
Take the blueprints back to Hugo in the Garden area. He cannot read them due to his condition, so Hugo asks you totake the blueprints to his daughter, Audrey, in Vault 63’s Meteorology Sector.
How To Get To The Vault 63 Meteorology Sector
Unfortunately, this sector isn’t in the same building you’re in, socheck your map for the Hawksbill weather station,which should be marked now.
Be sure to haveyour best weapons readyfor some action before you meet Audrey.
Once you’re at the Hawksbill weather station,fight off the robots outside and use the red buttonon the right side of the large blast doors to open them.
Head through the doorsin front of you to your right.
Progress down the stairs and through thelaser doors to your right.
Sometimes the lasers will stay bright purple and block you from entering.Restart your gameif this happens, and the lasers should turn blue to grant you access.
Head downstairsinto the lab area with a large glass window to findAudrey Stolz.
Speak to herabout the blueprintsto finish Between The Linesand claim your reward.
