Genshin Impactfeatures several weekly boss challenges that are often harder to beat than regular bosses found in Teyvat. You need to strategize and choose the right characters in your team to beat them with ease, though we also recommend you take on these challenges in co-op mode if you are having a hard time.
The Guardian of Apep’s Oasis was introduced during the Sumeru Arc. You can beat it to get talent upgrade materials for a few characters. Additionally, weapon billets are obtained as rewards that you can use for crafting weapons at a Blacksmith shop in every major city.

Jump left from the waypoint, and you will spot a pathway that goes inside the cave. Head inside to find the domain, where the Guardian of Apep’s Oasis resides.

How To Beat The Guardian Of Apep’s Oasis
The bossbattle with the Guardian of Apep’s Oasis is a three-phase fight. You will need to tackle its varying attack patterns in each phase to take it down. The fight isn’t challenging when you first face the Warden of the Oasis during Nahida’s story quest.
However, the battle is much more difficult when you challenge the same boss in the ‘The Realm of Beginnings’ domain.

First Phase: Warden Of The Last Oasis
The Guardian isn’t as aggressive during this phase, and its attacks are easily avoidable. The boss will often dash towards you, brace yourself for an attack when it does and sprint away from it as he gets near you.If he raises one of its claws above the ground, that’s your cue to avoid its slash attacks. Sometimes, it will hit you with two combo slashes followed by two ground slams.
You need to watch out when the Warden of the Last Oasis starts thrashing about as he is about tohurl some Dendro boulders your way. They are hard to avoid as he throws a lot of rocks from all directions, and you definitely need some swift action here. Using a shield here is better, so the attack won’t damage you a lot.

The Warden will dig its claws into the ground, and this is your cue to avoid an incoming attack. The claws will spring from underneath the ground and this attack will inflict significant damage on your characters if you don’t avoid it. The attack’s range will be projected on the ground, and you need to stay away from the marked area.
The Guardian of the Oasis will hide under the ground, and you can see its shadow underneath. Steer clear of its shadow as the boss will hit you with a powerful slash attack when he springs back up.
Second Phase: Heart of Oasis
During the second phase, you need tobeat the Dendro enemies that the Warden will summon. As you defeat them, the Warden’s revitalization bar will fill up. Do not let the monsters get near to the Heart of the Oasis to revitalize it quickly. Hit as many monsters as you can with strong attacks, you might also need some crowd-control skills here.
The game will warn you about incoming stronger monsters, so brace yourself to take them down. Focus on taking down the enemy nearest to the heart before it gets close to it.Stronger enemies can impact the revitalization progress greatly, so you need to beat them up quickly, otherwise, you need to fill up the bar all over again.
Some tall plants will also sprout during this phase and when they do, you won’t be able to inflict damage on the enemies. So you need todestroy them as soon as they grow. You can hit them with a few burn reactions to take them down quickly.
Third Phase: Warden of Oasis Prime
This is the most difficult phase of the boss battle, and you will find the Warden very aggressive. It will hide under the ground, and then spring back up quickly toinflict a circular attack around its range. You need to be wary as soon as you see a sprout mark, and sprint as far as you can to avoid getting hit.
Beware of the Aftershocks of the Apocalypse as the move can knock your character down with a single hit. The game will prompt you toenter the Shield of Revival’s Hymn to protect yourself. Three dome-like Dendro shields will appear, and you can take refuge in any of them to avoid damage.
The Guardian of the Oasis will shoot three Dendro beamsfollowed by hurling a few seeds your way. To avoid the beams, avoid the marked area of attack swiftly. After that, steer clear of the seed’s trajectory to avoid them as fast as you can.
Recommended Characters And Gear
It’s not recommended to use Dendro characters to inflict damage due to the boss' Dendro resistance. However, you may use them to trigger Dendro reactions.
Pyro characters work well against Dendro enemies, they cantrigger burn reactionsto deal a lot of damage. If you use an Electro character alongside Pyro, you may do some Quicken, Aggravate or Overload reactionsto deplete the Boss' HP quickly.
If you have a hydro character in your team, do someBurgeon and Hyperbloom reactionsby attacking the Dendro core.
We recommend you touse Arlecchino as your Pyro main, since she can inflict a lot of off-field Pyro damage with her elemental burst. Some alternative Pyro characters include Yanfei, Hu Tao, and Klee. You can include a shielder in your team if you find dodging attacks challenging.
For Electro reactions, we recommend you to bring Raiden Shogun as her elemental skill will inflict Electro damage every time you attack an enemy, even when Raiden is not on the field. Some other alternative Electro characters that you can use includeYae Miko,Clorinde,Kuki Shinobu, andKeqing.
We recommend you to include a Hydro healer on your team, soKokomi is an excellent choice considering her healing abilities. She can also inflict decent Hydro damage, and her Elemental skill constantly applies Hydro to the enemies, making them prone to reactions.
You can use Barbara if you do not own Kokomi in your Roster.
There are some excellent weapons that you can equip on your Pyro Polearm characters.Staff of Homaworks wellwith both Arlecchino and Hu Tao. You can useBlackcliff Poleif you do not own any five-star Polearm. For Raiden Shogun, theFavonius Lanceworks great as a four-star weapon.
you may equipThe Widsithor Blackliff Agate on your DPS catalyst characters, as they work well with Yanfei, Klee, and Yae Miko. If you ownSkyward Blade, you can equip it on your DPS sword characters, butBlackcliff Longswordis also a serviceable choice.
