As soon as you log in toPax Dei, you’ll first have to go through a character creation screen after choosing your server. However, once you’re done with that, you’ll be dropped into a giant world without too much help. You can read through the tutorial to learn the basics, but you understand most things through your own experience.
Since you’re sharing the world with quite a lot of people, it’s common to run out of resources. However, one of the rarest resources might be Clay during the early game. While there is a lot of it around, people are consistently looking for it.
Pax Dei is currently in Early Access, and everything mentioned in this article is subject to change.
How To Get Clay
The main process of getting Clay is fairly straightforward. You simply have to find these special orange spots on the ground, and once you get close to them, you can just interact and your character will pick up Clay. These spots can be fairly easy to miss, so you’ll have to keep a close eye when you’re running around.
Clay can be found in almost every part of the map, butit’s most abundant in Grasslands near a water body. Ideally, you’d want to run to your nearest water body and search the ground if you’re looking for it. Thankfully, you can get more than one Clay every time you interact with a spot, andthere’s usually a big group of them.
Since the world is shared, there may be aClay spawn near your locationbut someone else might have recently picked it up.
Clay is one of themost important materials required if you plan to build a decent-sized housein Pax Dei. If you enjoy building, it’s highly recommended to locate a place with a bunch of Clay spawns and build near it. That way, you can claim it every time you log in as long as someone else doesn’t have eyes on those spots.
Another method to rack up on Clay is by simply exploring the world. You can learn about the locations of various other items whilefilling your inventory up with every Clay you find.
