Alan Wake 2: Night Springsbrings episodic tales to players, expanding on characters and stories hinted at in Alan Wake 2. Not much of it is canon to the main story, but it keeps the gameplay similar to the main game.
The second episode of the DLC,North Star, focuses on Control protagonist Jesse Faden making her way through Coffee World to find her brother. It plays a lot like Coffee World from the base game, which includes some local cult stashes with added loot. They take some small puzzles to open, but can be very rewarding.
All Stash Locations In North Star
There area total of six stashes in Coffee Worldto find. There isn’t a map easily available for Coffee World in this episode, but byusing the hub of the gazebowhere the Sheriff sitsas a starting point, finding all of them can be made easy.
The darkness of Coffee World might obscure the stashes slightly, butkeep an eye out for that interact circlethat appears on the screen when you are looking around.
The First Stash
The first stashcan be found along the main path that you walk on to first head to the gazebo. If you arestanding in the light, face the main pathand go in that direction untilyou see a tree on your right, which will have the stash underneath it.
The Second Stash
The second stashis near an inaccessible ride, justpast the Welcome Center. If you start from the gazebo, head in thedirection of the Welcome Center,andveer to the rightafter, the stash will beon the left side of the closed ride.
The Third Stash
The third stashis also near theWelcome Center but to the left. After leaving the gazebo and veering left of the Welcome Center,stay to the rightto eventually finda shack by the waterthat has the stash nearby.
The Fourth Stash
The fourth stashis downto the rightof theTasting Room. From the light,head left of the Ferris wheel, and follow the signs to asmall table with teacups, asthe stash will be beside an oversized cup.
The Fifth Stash
The fifth stashis near the previous stash; the fourth one on this list. From the gazebo, headtowards the Ferris wheel, and the stash will benear the porta potty.
The Sixth Stash
The sixthand final stash isnear Coffee Warehouse. From the light, goleft past the Ferris wheel, turnback to the Roasting Bar, and then goright towards the well. That will lead to the warehouse, and then look ata car to the leftto find the final stash.
The order in which you collect the stashes doesn’t offer added loot. Each stash will offerthe same items:ammunitionfor your pistol,batteriesfor your flashlight, and ahealing pad.
There is a chance that some stashes will have some extra loot, but it doesn’t change based on the order or completion of the stashes.
How To Solve The Stash Puzzles
All of these stashes havepuzzles similar to cult stashesin Alan Wake 2; in particular, the memory ones. There will bea panel of nine buttons, arranged in a three-by-three fashion.
As soon as you look at the buttons in detail, thebuttons will flash in an order you have to memorize and repeat. Do it correctly, and the stash will open. Then, use said resources to solve the mystery around Coffee World in Alan Wake 2: Night Springs.
