Chapter 5, Season 3 ofFortnitehas arrived, along with a whole new roster of NPCs to hire, challenge, or purchase items from. Recruitable NPCs will give you and your team much needed backup, while also providing either supplies, surveillance, or heals.
Other NPCs sell useful items like high-rarity weapons and heals to help you survive the desert wasteland and beyond. While there are a few familiar faces on the map, there are some new folks added to the list. If you need help getting acquainted with all of the NPCs currently available and the services they can provide, look no further.

What Are NPCs?
If this is your first time braving the wilds of Fortnite Island, you may be wonderingwhat exactly the NPCs do, and how they’re different from the bosses in the game.
An NPC is aNon Player Character, and though thebosses fall under that category as well, for the sake of this guide,they don’t count.
In Fortnite, an NPC is any bot that you can talk to and eitherrecruit to join your team, orpurchase items from. Each recruitable NPC brings their own set of skills to the table, and can sometimes mean the difference between victory and defeat. Here we will discuss two distinct categories of NPCs:Recruitable and Non-Recruitable.
Every Recruitable NPC Location And The Services They Provide
Recruitable NPCs will join you as anextra teammateto fight alongside you and your teammates. you may also tell them to stay, follow, orhave them revive a downed teammate.
Each NPC that can be hired has aunique set of skillsthat set them apart from each other. These special skills include the following:

Non-Recruitable NPC Locations And The Services They Provide
Several of the NPCs available to talk to on the map arenot recruitable, but they can still be very valuable to your team.
When you talk to these NPCs, you’ll receive a gift, usually aShield Potion or a Medkit, and then they offer you services you can purchase from them. Sometimes it’ll beweapons, health items, or a quick Patch Up.
