InAnother Crab’s Treasure, Krill is on a hunt for the treasure to retrieve the only thing valuable to him: his shell. He just wants a normal life, all the simple things he misses, but his path is full of bosses that stop him from reaching the treasure.
Voltai is one such boss who guards a battery, vital to Krill’s mission of finding the treasure. The boss uses a variety of electronic appliances that humans have tossed into the deep ocean, which have now become Voltai’s weapons. This guide explains location, attack patterns, and the best strategy to beat Voltai in the game.
Voltai Boss Location
Voltai is found in the Flotsam Valearea of the game. Krill has one task in this region:finding a battery to charge the boat. This quest leads him to venture into abuilding at a higher altitude. Once you reach the top, you will face Voltai.
Description
Hair Blower
Voltai powers up the hair blower, which spits out electric balls. Theballs detonate on impactand create ashort AoE.
Head Smash
Regardless of the electronic appliance Voltai uses, every time youget too close to the boss, Voltai willhead-slam Krill. This is theboss’s go-to attack patternat close quarters.
Rush Charge
Whenever an electric appliance breaks after you damage the boss,Voltai charges his body with electric currentandrushes out of the spot. If the boss hitsKrill with his head, hishealth will be drained.
Toaster
Voltai emerges from the trash and brings a toaster to the fight. Thetoaster spits out breadat a short interval. Krill canuse the bread as a platform to jumpon and reach Voltati’s head to deal damage.
However, if thebread strikes Krill while coming outof the toaster,it will damage Krill.
Electric Wave
Voltai brings another device to the fight. Every time thisboss slams his head to the ground, it gets amplified, andan electric AoE is sent awayfrom his spot to the end of the boss' room.Voltai hits the head two timesin quick succession ifKrill gets too close.
Poison Ground
The drain pipesaround the boss arenastart releasing poisonous water, which sooncovers the entire groundof the Voltai boss arena. Only ahandful of platformssurface above it thatKrill can use to stand on.
This happens whenVoltai’s health drops below 50 percent. Stepping in thepoison water builds up the poison meter. If it fills up, Krill will startcausing health damagepassively, andslow movement.
How To Beat Voltai, The Accumulator
Voltai is an electric eelthat uses atoaster, hair blower, and back massager. Most of the boss’sattacks have slow animations, and the overalldamage sustained is moderate.
We recommend leveling up Krill to the stats mentioned above. This will make the boss fight easier, and you will likely die less.
Thehair blower is the first electronic appliancethat Voltai uses against Krill. This electric eelprovides juice to the blower from the neck, and in return, the appliancefires an electric ballthat shocks Krill on impact.
Even though theimpact creates an AoE, theradius is fairly small. A timed dodge will get Krill out of harm’s way, and he can continue dealing light attack damage on Voltai.
If you continue tostrike Voltai at melee range, the boss willuse his giant head and smashit on the ground, draining Krill’s significant amount of health. The best strategy here would be toland two light attacks,press the dodge button,and repeatuntil Voltai exits the spot.
Every time Voltai switches spots, heexits one using the rush charge attack. The boss’swhole body electrifies, and if Krill gets in the way,Voltai’s head will strike and damagehim. The best way to avoid this is tobe on the boss’s extreme left or right side. Voltai rushes straight. Therefore, you canavoid getting hit by placing Krill sidewaysto the boss.
The toaster attack provides little opportunity to deal damage to Voltai. The best strategy here would be touse the Royal Wave Adaptation firstand thenstrike a couple of hitsbefore Voltai’s head smashes Krill and knocks him down from the toaster.
Finally,Voltai brings an electric amplifierthat increases hishead smash attackand sends anAoE forward. You can completelynegate the damage by duckingunder the shell. Theelectric wavegoes rightabove Krill.
You can alsoequip the Rubber Bandstowaway, whichnegates any electric damagethe boss deals to you.
The boss fight becomes a little challenging whenVoltai’s health drops below 50 percent, and hereleases poisonous waterin the room. Hisattack patterns remain the same, and Krill only needs to stay on the ground more instead of the poison water to build a poison status effect.
Try tojump from one platform to anotherto avoid getting poisoned. Also,do not rush too muchwhen attacking Voltai during this phase. You havelittle ground to dodge; therefore, whenever you dodge, there is an increased chance you will land in the poison pool.
