InAnother Crab’s Treasure, Krill fights bosses much bigger than his size just to get to the valuable treasure, give it to the merchant, and retrieve his home shell. While the Old Ocean region bosses are much more difficult than found elsewhere, Krill never hesitates to face them.
Camtscha is a legendary large-sized crab that has remained in the Old Ocean for a long time. This boss fight has two phases, making it more memorable than most fights you will fight until this point in the game. This guide explains the boss’s location, attack patterns in both phases, and the strategy for beating Camtscha.

Camtscha Boss Location
TheCamtscha boss fight is in the Old Ocean. It is astory mission boss encounter, so you cannot miss it. You will eventuallyreach the boss after fighting Inkerton, the Crab Hunter, in The Unfathom area.
Description

Ground Shockwave
Camtschaslams its right claw into the ground, causing a massiveshockwave that originates from the point of impactand goes further away in the room.
Pincer Slam
The bossraises one of its right pincersand jams itinto the ground.
Bubble Projectiles
If Krill stays far from Camtscha, theboss uses his stick to conjure purple bubble projectilesthat chase Krill for a short duration.
Ranged Aggro Grab
Camtscharushes towards Krilland swipes one of hisright claws to grab him. This attackcannot be parriedbuteasily dodged.
Close-Range Aggro Grab
Like the ranged grab, sometimesCamtscha performs the aggro grab at close rangeonly by swiping its right claw at the front.
Jump Shockwave
Camtscha willjump and relocate to a different spotin the boss arena.
Wherever the boss lands, ashockwave emerges from the point of impactthat further spreads throughout the room.

Three Hit Combo
The bossuses his pincers and performs two hits at close range, followed by a long-range attack.
Crab Flipping Strikes
Camtscha starts this attack bysmashing the front pincers into the groundand then hitting Krill with a follow-up attack.
After that, theboss flips and vigorously uses all his pincers to strike Krill. This is a very short-range attack, so it is recommended that you stay at a distance to avoid getting hit.

Two Hit Slams
If Krill rushes away and constantly maintains distance,Camtscha will dash and slam front pincers into the ground, followed by the same attack again.
How To Beat Camtscha, The Bleached King Boss Guide
Camtscha is the first bossyou encounter in the game, whichhas two phases. In the first phase, the boss is namedCamtscha, the Bleached King, and in the second phase, thename changes to Camtscha, Reborn.
Both phases have stark differencesin attack patterns, boss movement, staggered chances, and overall health. Regardless, theoverall boss fight is not an easy encounter, and you must level up Krill’s stats, as we recommended above.

Phase One
In Camtscha boss’s phase one, theboss does not move and sits on its cracked throne. He has a stick in his left hand that the boss slams and swipes. Camtscha alsouses his pincers to unleash various attacksto kill Krill.
The base healthof Camtscha during thefirst phase is low.
Krill’s attacksdeplete a massiveportion of the boss’s health. This may sound like winning over the first phase is easy, but sinceCamtscha hits like a truck, youmust dodge its stick slamand ground shockwave attacks.
Wasting Krill’s health during the first phase will make beating Camtscha during the second phase an impossible feat.

Camtscha has a very high stagger meterin the first phase. Breaking thestance is nearly impossibleregardless of what light, heavy, or adaptation attacks you land on the boss.
During the first phase, the focus should be on landinglight attacks, depleting health quickly, and dodging any incoming attacksfrom Camtscha so that the boss battle transitions into the second phase without costing too much health.

Thestick slam attackis easy to predict. Camtscha has itequipped in the left claw, alwaysslams it in front of the right claw, and swipes it back to the left claw position. Krill willnot take any damageif youdash away to the right pincersof Camtscha.
Another of Camtscha’s attacks involves raising hisright claw first and then slamming it into the ground. This short animation gives away the ground shockwave attack, which you caneasily avoid by jumping and swimming for a short duration.

You need to ensureKrill stays above the wave; otherwise, he gets hit by it.
Phase Two
The battle tactics must be drastically changed during the second phase of the Camtscha boss fight. That is because theboss becomes much more agileandmoves up and about the entire arena.
The faster movement introduces an element of surprise, as you can never guess what attack comes next.

Compared to the first phase, you caneasily stagger Camtscha in the second phase.
Since the boss is reborn (as mentioned in the name) and theglaring red exterior indicatesthat the large-sized crabhas no hardness or armor, you caneasily build up the stagger bar(yellow bar below health).
Attacking, blocking, parrying, and landing adaptations attacksquickly build the stagger meter. Once you see thehealth bar flashing with a yellow color borderline, strike Camtscha with a heavy or adaptation attack to stagger it.
Drawing parallels with the first phase, theboss has a lot of health in the second phase. You will notice this by the negligible health drain of the boss per hit. That is why it isbest to rely on blocking during the second phase.
The battle arena has a lot of shells, such as Detergent Cap, Scrub Aggie, Champagne Flute, Dentures, and Soda Can. TheChampagne Flute has 90 shell defense, and you mustutilize this to block most of the attacksduring the second waste.
Do not waste the Champagne Fluteshells in thefirst phase. Reserve them for the second phase, as the boss is much more agile and hits Krill frequently.
During the second phase, thetwo Aggro attack types(visible via a red skull icon above Krill’s head)must be dodgedat all costs. Otherwise, Camtscha will deplete a significant portion of Krill’s health, putting you at a severe disadvantagein the final clutches of the boss fight.
If you have the Scrap Hammer skill unlocked, you can leverage the extra shells on the ground, attach them with the fork (Krill’s main weapon), and swing at Camtscha, ending its life quickly for good.
Unlocking the Scrap Hammer skill will benefitKrill during the second phase. Krill’s light attacks deal little to no damage.
With the said skill, Krill can attach any shell with its fork andswing it like a hammer, dealing muchmore damage than regular light or heavy attacks.
