Fort of Reprimand is an optional dungeon inElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. There are a couple of different ways to reach the area. You can access it via Castle Ensis or a Sealed Spiritspring near the Elder’s Hovel — you can use the latter route without defeating any major bosses in the DLC.

There are a few useful items located in the Fort of Reprimand, including a new Ash of War and an upgraded version of the Firedrake Talisman. There are also a handful of Smithing Stones, Shadow Realm Runes, and random crafting ingredients.

Fort Of Reprimand Walkthrough

Before you enter the Fort of Reprimand, head a little left to come acrossa couple ofAbductor Virgins. You can either defeat them to get someShadow Realm Rune [5]or simply run past both of them to collect eightSmithing Stone [6]and aBlessing of Marikanear the edge of the cliff.

Once you are ready,enter the Fort of Reprimand to immediately come across anOmenkiller. His normal swings cause blood loss buildup, so try to dodge into them if possible. He also breathes fire that deals a good amount of damage, but it should not be hard to avoid, as long as you are careful.

After defeating him, loot the main courtyard for these items:

From there,head down the stairs to loot aFireproof Pickled Liver. Near the end, you will see a chest on the upper area — we will get to it in a second.

For now,enter the room on your leftandhead down the ladder to deal with a small group of enemies.Once you have cleared the section,open the chestfor eightSmithing Stone [6]. You will also find aSpiritgrave Stoneand a fewSmithing Stone [5]in the area.

You can thenhead up the ladderandenter the room in front of youto come across a couple of enemies next to a corpse. Deal with them to collect theFestive Grease. Before you enter the next room,head straight through the cages(on the left side of the corpse) to open the chest we mentioned earlier to grab theFlamedrake Talisman +3which greatly boosts fire damage negation.

You may getambushed here by some guardsin the next room, so be on the lookout for that.

Jump down from the chestandretrace your pathto where you looted the Festive Grease. Head up the stairs to reach an open area. You will spot an item (a Broken Rune) on the far left but do not rush to collect it asanother Omenkiller is lurkingon the upper rooftop. Once you have dealt with him, head up the stairs to reach the ‘Fort of Reprimand’ Site of Grace. There is also a corpse here holding threeDewgem. You should also be able to see a corpse on a platform holding aBlessed Bone Shard.

Once you have looted everything,enter the room for a boss fightagainst Black Knight Edredd.

How To Defeat Black Knight Edredd

Black Knight Edredd is a fairly simple boss. He wields atwin-edged spear that he uses for basic combos.He also usesAsh of War: Aspect of the Crucible: Wingsfor an aerial attack. It is incrediblyeasy to break his poisefor a quick stagger. Weapons that are good at stun-locking enemies, such asEleonora’s Poleblade,Beast Claw (Weapon),Ordovis’s Greatsword, etc. can trivialize the entire fight.

You canalso backstab or parry himif you are good at it. There are multiple ways to defeat him, so choose whatever works the best for you. Defeating him will reward you with some Runes andAsh of War: Aspect of the Crucible: Wings.

Once you have defeated Black Knight Edredd, head up the ladder to reach the rooftop and then climb another ladder to obtain theBattlefield Priest’s Cookbook [2]from a chest.

While you are near the ladder,jump onto the edgeand follow along the boundary until you can see the Omenkiller below.Try to jump behind him for a quick backstabandhead up the nearby ladderfor another chest containing fourSmithing Stone [8]. A little ahead, you will come across ‘Behind the Fort of Reprimand’ Site of Grace.

Lastly, return to the entrance of the fort where you fought the first Omenkiller. You willsee a small hole leading to the basementon the left side.

Once you are down, deal with yet another Omenkiller and loot the area for:

Continue to progress through the area, and you will findMessmer Soldier Ashesnear a gravestone.Climb the nearby ladder,and you will eventually find yourself near the Black Knight Edredd boss area, clearing the entire Fort of Reprimand.
