Even though you start out with a small village and a handful of resources, you can strategicallyexpand your territoryto build a prosperous and powerful domain.

When you first load into a new game, you’ll see that a pre-existing road runs through every single territory on the map. This is the King’s Road, which connects all eight regions in Manor Lords and facilitates trading. If you’re wondering how you can connect your village to the King’s Road, read on.

How To Connect To The King’s Road

The King’s Road is astarter roadwinding through your newly settled territory. It is theonly way you can engage intrade with other regionsandimport goodsyou can’t produce yourself.

To track down the King’s Road, you’ll need to navigateto the edge of the player-controlled areaand look for a large, unbroken roadthat leads into your territory. Alternatively, you can zoom out of the region map andcenter the camera on the black linesto find the King’s Road.

The King’s Roadcannot be edited or removed,and you cannot tamper with it in any way.

Once you’ve located the King’s Road, you can either start building off of it or connect it to your settlement by creating a new road that links to any of its sections. To do this, simplyuse the roads toolat the bottom of the screen and drag your mouse around to build a new road. Roads arefreeto build and destroy.

After you’ve connected the King’s Road to your settlement, you can build aTrading Postand/orLivestock Trading Postclose to it andcreateTrade Routes. All Traveling Merchants use the King’s Road for their monthly trade.

You may receive a notification stating that your Trading Post has been disconnected from King’s Road even after you’ve linked them. To overcome this bug,simply redraw your roads.
