Wuthering Wavestakes place in the dangerous world of Solaris-3, where apocalyptic events and blood-thirsty monsters are found at every turn. As you explore this world as the Rover, you’re sure to come across your fair share of road bumps on your quest to regain your lost memories.
Of course, you wouldn’t be a proper hero if your journey didn’t get sidelined by people who need your help. The Solitary Path quest is Yinlin’s companion story, and focuses on her infiltration of a mysterious cult that uses puppets to bring back deceased loved ones. Below you can find a full walkthrough for this quest, including how to solve every puzzle you’ll come across.
How To Start Solitary Path
Solitary Path will begin after you reachUnion Level 16, in the form of acall from Chixia. She will ask you to keep an eye on mysterious disappearances in and around Jinzhou. After this cutscene finishes, the quest will begin.
Solitary Path Quest Walkthrough
First, head to the designated location andspeak to Lirong and Yuanyuan. After the cutscene, you’ll need to interact with thetwo glowing markersto organize them before the Patrollers find you. Once you’re done, talk toYinlinand watch the cutscene.
Next, meet up with Yinlinoutside the cityat thedesignated location. After the cutscene here, head to thelocation nearbyand watch another cutscene.
Lirong Chase
Now, you’ll need tochase after Lirong. Youcan’t get too close to him, but you alsocan’t fall too far behind. In either case, you’ll fail and have to retry.Maintain a steady distanceuntil Lirong stops and you can continue to the next cutscene.
After this cutscene,fight off the two Fractsidus members, then speak to Yinlin. She will ask you togather up the three Puppets in the area. Check the location marker on the minimap to get a general idea of the area they’re in, then collect all three.
Once you’re done, talk to Yinlin again, and you’ll beautomatically moved elsewhere. Here, you’ll need touse the Sensor toolto find thewolf marksto guide you to Yinlin’s safe house. Thesebright yellow marksappear after you use the Sensor;follow them to the next quest objective.
Safe House Password
At the cave, you’ll need toput in a password to enter the safe house. To find the password, you can either figure it out yourself bycounting the number of flowers in each patch from left to right, or ask Yinlin and she’ll tell you outright the combination.
In either case,the password is 4123. Put this into the terminal to open the door to the safe house and watch a cutscene.
Warehouse Transmission
Now you’ll be teleported into a small warehouse where the exit is blocked.Investigate the clues inside, then use the tablet tosend a message to Chixia.
This part plays like arhythm game; you’ll need topress the button at the moment the lines pass across the line in the center of the screen. Thin lines only need asingle press, while thick lines need you tohold down the buttonwhile it passes across the center.
You will need to hit100 percent of the linesto pass this section and move on. After you successfully send the data, you can leave the warehouse.
Seance Society Camp
Speak to Yinlin, thenspeak to three members of the Seance Societyaround their camp. Finally, speak to Quixiu and thenlook for clues around the nearby tent. After that, return to Quixiu and talk to Yinlin again in a cutscene.
Fight off the Tacet Discordsthat appear. You’ll be able to useYinlin as a trial characterhere; this is a good opportunity to test her out if you don’t already have her. After you’ve defeated the TDs, watch the cutscene and you’ll enter thePuppets Factory.
Puppets Factory Doll Puzzles Walkthrough
Before you enter, you’ll have to choose your team.Yinlin will join you as a trial characterfor this domain, so keep this in mind as you select your other characters.
The first puzzle in the Factory will teach you about theDoll control mechanic. Interact with the Doll control device togain control of Yinlin’s Doll, Zapstring. Now, move it to the panel before returning control to your character, and the door forward will remain open.
Fight off a group of Exiles, then continue forward to the next Doll puzzle.
To solve this puzzle,Levitate the first block onto one of the panels, thenstand on the otherto drop the barrier. Now,Levitate the second block onto the panel you’re standing onto keep the barrier open. Head inside andgrab the chest, thenactivate the Doll control deviceto gain control of the Doll.
Navigate Zapstringunder the path of barriers, then place heron the panelto drop them. Release control back to your character, thenproceed down the pathand continue on.
Battle another group of Exiles, then drop down the hole to the lower level to thethird Doll puzzle.
Use the Doll control panel tomove under the first set of barriers, thenstand on the panelto deactivate them.Release controlback to your character, then move forward to thenext Doll control device. As Zapstring,move to the second panelto open the final set of barriers and open the way out.
In the next room, you’ll need touse the camerato take pictures of evidence.
After you’ve taken the pictures, you’ll need tofight off three groups of Exilesas you continue moving forward and onto the elevator to the top floor, where the Dollmaker is waiting.
Watch another cutscene,fight off a final group of Exiles, and now you’ll have tobeat the Mech Abomination. This is the same boss as the world boss that can be found in the Court of Savantae Ruins in the Whining Aix’s Mire region. If you’re already familiar with fighting that boss, you should have no problems with this version.
If this is your first time fighting the Mech Abomination, there are a few things to keep in mind. It will mainly attack withslow but powerful sweeping attacks. The timing of these is fairly generous, giving youmore than enough time to dodge out of the way.
You’ll also want to be mindful of the boss’selectric shockwave attack, in which it fires outwaves of electricityfrom itself. Be careful when dodging these so that you don’t wind up in the path of another lightning bolt.
Once the boss is down, watch the cutscenes andcollect the chest before leaving the Factory. Watch another cutscene after giving your statement to the Bureau.
Now,use the Sensor to follow the wolf marks againto Yinlin at thepagoda areain Jinzhou. Once you’ve found her, watch thisfinal cutsceneto its completion, and the Solitary Path quest will be complete.
