While you’re busy evacuating the citizens of Battahl inDragon’s Dogma 2, don’t forget to head back to the Volcanic Island Camp you passed byduring The Guardian Gigantus quest. There are a total of five locations to evacuate during the Halls of the First Dawn quest in the Unmoored World.
While you don’t need to evacuate each location tocomplete Dragon’s Dogma 2’s true ending, each area offers the opportunity to complete at least one additional quest, yielding excellent endgame rewards and experience. Before you start the quest, be ready for a fight.

How To Start The Importance Of Aiding Ernesto
When you return to theVolcanic Island Campduring the true ending, search the town for a man named Ernesto.
Talkto Ernesto about your evacuation plans.
Ernesto, like many of the other sensible leaders,is fully on boardwith the evacuation plan, butthere’s a problem.
Ernesto tells you that a couple living in a secluded area of the island might not join the evacuation.

Your task is to convinceGautstafrandCliodhnato join the evacuation effort,triggering the start of The Importance of Aiding Ernesto.
How To Finish The Importance Of Aiding Ernesto
After giving you a little bit of background information,Ernesto will mark the location of Gautstafr & Cliodhnaon your map, making this a simple matter offetching them from their home.
If you haven’t already, make sure you have aportcrystalrightoutside the Volcanic Island Campentrance.

Navigate the dangerous roads to the west, from the Volcanic Island Camp,until you reach the house, which you’ll notice is somewhatmarooned on its island.
However, there is a path down the rocky area,to the right if you are facing the house directly.
Navigate down the path, then take the curlingcut-out path up the rocky islandto the couple’s house.
Evacuate Gautstafr & Cliodhna
ApproachGautstafr and Cliodhna’s house, where Cliodhna willgreetyou.
You may be welcomed back if you’ve unlocked the Magick Archer vocation by completing thePut A Spring In Thy Step quest(helping Gautstafr with his back issues).
Cliodhna will be resistant to joining, butGautstafrwill intervene,agreeing to join the evacuationif you can helpescortthe couple back to theVolcanic Island Camp.
If you’ve cleared the roads on your way over, this should be a matter ofcarrying Gautstafrback to the Volcanic Island Camp.
However, instead of taking a long journey, you canuse a Ferrystonewhile Gautstafr and Cliodhna are with you,teleporting you all back to the portcrystalat the Volcanic Island Camp.
Gautstafr will wait by the entrance with Cliodhna, asking you totell Ernesto they’ve arrived.
However, as youapproach Ernestoto deliver the good news,you’ll encounter a small issue.
Convince Lamond
Ernestowill bearguingwithLamond, who refuses to be ordered around by Ernesto.
You may alsorecognize Lamondfrom earlier if you procured someNewt Liqueurfor him while unlocking the Warfarer vocation.
Lamondstorms off to the Hot Springs, where he says he will stay.
Ernesto is distraught by Lamond’s reaction, so he asks you toconvince Lamond to join the evacuation, as he won’t listen to Ernesto.
Head across the scaffolding and up a ladderto the top area, leading across the Volcanic Island Campto the Hot Springs.
This interaction willrequire a very high affinity with Lamond, so you shoulddo his quest, The Sotted Sageif you want to make this conversation easier.
Bring himthree Newt Liqueursto complete it.
Approach Lamondandtalkto him; he will try to brush you off.
While speaking to Lamond, there will be athree-option choiceto make as you convince Lamond to evacuate.
If you’ve become friendly with Lamond,he will not be able to refuse you if you choose the first option.
Request that Lamond accompany Gautstafr and Cliodhna, and he will give in almost immediately, telling you he can’t turn down such a kind request.
With Lamond on board, it’s time tohead back to Ernestoand let him know you’ve upheld your agreement.

Ernesto appreciates your efforts and lets you know that you’ve done everything he could ask, finally agreeing to follow along with your organized evacuations.
