Pokemon Gois hosting another Research Day this month, a one-day event centered around specific Pokemon and completing limited-time Field Research Tasks. This event, theFlock Together Research Day, will follow this same structure, featuring different Flying-type, bird Pokemon currently available in the game.

The Flock Together Research Day will only be active for a three-hour window, taking place onSaturday, Jul 21, 2025, from 2pm to 5pm local time. Even though this Research Day is a relatively brief event, there are several features and bonuses that will be available to all players who log in and participate, all provided for you in our complete below.

For the Flock Together Research Day, there will befive different Pokemon featured, all being Flying-type, bird Pokemon. This includes:

Being the featured Pokemon for this Research Day,these five Pokemon will have significantly higher chances of being Shinyduring the three hours of this event. With Shiny Pokemon typically being extremely rare in Pokemon Go, make sure to take advantage of this opportunity to secure several of them.

During the Flock Together Research Day, you will be able to encounter these five Pokemon through the completion of differentEvent Field Research Tasks.Collect these Field Research Tasks byspinning differentPokeStop Photo Discsduring this event, each rewarding you with an encounter with one of the five featured Pokemon once they are completed.

With all the event-themed Pokemon being Flying types,Mega Evolve a Flying-type Pokemon during this event.

This will increase the amount of Candy you earn when catching any Flying-type Pokemon.

Event Wild Encounter Pokemon

During this Research Day, there will also bespecific Pokemon appearing in the wild more frequently.This includes six different event-themed Pokemon, each found below.

Although it will be possible to encounter the Shiny variations of these six Pokemon,their Shiny odds will not be boostedlike the five featured Pokemon.

Event Timed Research

You will also have the option of purchasingTimed Researchfor the Flock Together Research Day. You can purchase this event-themed Timed Research at the Pokemon Go in-game shop, costing$1.00 USD.

Those who purchase this Timed Research will gain access to different Timed Research tasks,requiring you to complete different Field Research Tasksduring this event. Completing each of these tasks will reward you with an additional encounter with one of the five featured Pokemon, possessing thesame boosted Shiny odds as those encountered through Field Research Tasks.

You willonly be able to complete this Timed Research during the three hours of this event.

For this reason, make sure to complete all tasks and claim all rewards before it has concluded.
