Fallout 76’sSkyline Valley story brings us through the story of the Stolz family, the Lost, and Vault 63, whose fates all hang in the balance as the questline reaches its climax. Hugo Stolz finally has control over the Lost leaving Audrey, Hilda, and Oberlin with little choice but to challenge Hugo.
When their last experiment fails to stop Hugo’s progress, Audrey, Hilda, and Oberlin turn to you to help keep Hugo from droppinga bomb that will create more Lost. It’s up to you to fight your way to Hugo and stop his dangerous plans before he takes over the Skyline Valley.
How To Start The Eye Of The Storm
The Eye of the Storm beginsimmediatelyafter Gathering Clouds concludes.
You must have completed bothDouble-Crossed WiresandOldest Trick in the Bookfor Gathering Clouds to be available.
To progress,check in with Oberlin in Vault 63to get a situation report before he sends you out to confront Hugo.
Oberlin lets you know thatHugo has taken Cassidywith him, and he’s planning to bring her under his control with the rest of the Lost.
Head to theHawksbill Weather Stationto meet up with Audrey and discuss the plan.
Audrey warns you of the Lost that block the path ahead, and tells you to fight your way upstairs to theWeather Chamberto confront Hugo.
You will need to go to the previously locked laser gate on the top floor.
Defeat the Lost in your way and ascend the stairs to reach Hugo.
How To Defeat Hugo Stolz
After a brief conversation,the showdown with Hugowill begin – but he isn’t alone.
Hugo spawns a group of Lost to fight with him, making thisone of the most challenging fights in Fallout 76.
It’s easy to get overwhelmed here, butHugo should be your main priority,as you must deplete his HP bar three times before he finally gives up.
Sometimes, the fight canglitchand not end.
Hugo can become completely immune to damage, as yourshots will go through him.
If this happens,leave the area until eventually your screen fades to black,and you’re teleported back to the arena. Hugo’s behavior should correct itself and he will admit defeat.
When you get Hugo’s HP close to zero, he will perform an animation and regenerate back to 100 percent,calling a new horde of Lost to fight with him.
Don’t be discouraged if you die; the enemies can easily overwhelm you in confined space.
Defeat Hugo as fast as possible, as his shots from the Tesla Rifle he uses can hit you from anywhere in the room, making it futile to try running away.
Once you defeat Hugo a few times, he will eventually give up and let you decide his fate.
You have three approaches to choose from:
Choose wisely,as this decision will impact the future of Vault 63.
If you kill Hugo or imprison Hugo,James Oberlin will become the Overseer of Vault 63.
If you side with Hugo,he will remain as the Overseer andevery member of Vault 63 will become Lost.
Killing Hugo makes Audrey happy but upsets Oberlin. Capturing Hugo makes Oberlin happy, but makes Audrey hate you.
What Rewards Do You Get For Completing The Eye Of The Storm?
Once you’ve finished your conversation with the overseer of Vault 63, you’ll collect your rewards for completing the Skyline Valley story:
