The Cursed Lands of Lavernock is the first map in the story ofSker Ritual.Although you may immediately access other maps, story buffs should start here to move through the plot in the intended order. Cursed lands is also arguably the easiest map of the bunch.

While it may be the easiest, this level features a handful of confusing puzzles that are quite difficult to solve while trying to survive an onslaught of zombie hordes. Thankfully, we’ve already solved them for you.

Destroy The Generators

Once you unlock the two doors on your immediate right from where you spawn in the chapel, you’ll enter the village. Here there are four generators you need to destroy so that the electric fence guarding the rest of the map goes down, andthe first generator is on your right just past the second door.

Your melee weapon is the best way to destroy these generators. you may shoot them instead, but it will waste precious ammo and time: both valuable resources.

The second and third generators can be found outside two buildings near the village courtyard;one is to the left of the well in the center of town and the other is to the right.Finally,the last generator is hidden on the second-floor balconyof the one building in town that has an upper level.

In case you run into trouble finding these generators, you can always follow the tubes on the ground that run through the village. Each tube eventually leads to a generator.

Unlock The Main Chamber

Once the electric fence is down, buy the gate behind it. Head straight from there and you’ll quickly come to the entrance to a mausoleum. You’ll need to buy this door next to get to the underground laboratory where the main chamber is located.

Head down the stairs until you reach the police purchasing station, take a left, then your first right, and enter a hallway lit by a red light leading to the main chamber door. You’ll likely need tokill more zombies for the money to open this door,but this is the best place to do itas there is no zombie spawn behind you.

Once the door is open, you’ll unlock four quests that each reward you with a cylinder, and you’ll need all four cylinders to progress to the boss of this map. However,it’s best to do one of the quests firstasit’ll reward you withthe Thunderbolt weapon, which is easily the best gun in the game.

Get The Medusa Cylinder

Head back the way you came up and out of the mausoleum. Instead of returning to the village, take a right into the farmlands where you’ll seetall grass interspersed with zombie scarecrows.Open the box in front of a tall tree in the center of the farmlands to begin the quest, and once the box is opened, five banshee enemies will spawn.

These enemies teleport which can make them a pain to kill, and for the easiest fight,wait to open the box until you’ve killed all but one zombie during a round.This way you can focus on killing the banshees without worrying about other zombies sneaking up on you.

Once all of the banshees are dead, you can purchase the thunderbolt weapon from the box you opened.It costs 2000 pounds,so make sure you’ve saved enough money to make this purchase.

Liberal use of MX1910 headshots, molotovs, and melee attacks can easily get you this far without purchasing another weapon. This is a surefire way to pick up the thunderbolt swiftly and get the most bang for your buck.

Use the thunderbolt to shoot four metal zombie scarecrowsfound within the farmlands, but remember that not every scarecrow is metal and the tall grass does a good job of obscuring which is which. However, close inspection of the scarecrows will reveal that some have metal coils, bolts, and blue lights; these are the metal scarecrows you’re after.

It will also be obvious when you’ve shot a metal scarecrow asa bolt of lightning will connect the scarecrow to the tree in the center of the farmlands.Once you’ve shot all four scarecrows, head back underground to the laboratory, and after coming down the stairs the police purchasing station will be on your right, so open the door directly in front of it.

Head down this corridor purchasing any door you come across, and you’ll wind up in the laboratory; look up and you’ll seefour cages with purple lightning hanging from the ceiling.Shoot each of them with the thunderbolt until their health bars are depleted and the cages open,then enter the room on your right and stand in the red circle in front of the control panel.

Once you’ve stood there long enough, the four tubes leading up the stairs will glow blue. Climb the stairs and pick up the medusa cylinder.

Get The Siren Cylinder

Before you begin the next cylinder, you’ll want tosupercharge your Thunderbolt to Tier 1.Return to the main chamber and pay 5000 pounds to upgrade the thunderbolt; this will make it so that your thunderbolt one-shot headshots hordes of zombies for many rounds forward.

From the main chamber, head back into the morgue and go straight until you come to a purchaseable door on your right. Buy the door and head down the corridor into William’s Family Study, approach the desk at the top of the stairs, and pick up the cross in William’s Family Office to start the Siren cylinder quest.

Turn around and head back out of the mausoleum entrance; on your immediate left is a dug-up coffin, interact with it and a zombie will sit up out of it holding a purple lantern. Grab the lantern and return to the Staircase Hallway between the study and the office.

At the bottom of the stairs is a portrait of a man;holding up the lantern to the portrait will reveal one of four symbolsand the Roman numeral I,which is the first piece of the puzzle located in the living quarters, just past the office and library. Run from the staircase to the living quarters andturn the dial on the far left to the symbol matching the one shown in the portrait.

There are two other portraits with one of four purple symbols and the Roman numerals II and IV; the second one is found at the top of the stairs on your right, and the final one is found in the living quarters to the right of the dials. Turn the second and fourth dials to the symbols that match the ones depicted in these portraits.

There is no portrait with a symbol and the Roman numeral III. However, you don’t need it solve the puzzle. Once the other dials are properly set, turn the third dial until the puzzle is solved.

Once the puzzle is solved, the library wall will open like a secret door. Behind the door is the siren cylinder. Pick it up.

Get The Cerberus Cylinder

Take a left and head out of the Living Quarters by taking a right up a set of stairs; these stairs will eventually lead to a door that opens into the Caverns. Take a left and head down the Caverns, past a stone pillar, and into the Hatch Service Entrance.

Approach the creepy horned devil statue in the center of the woodlands and interact with it to start the Cerberus cylinder quest. This will allow you todestroy four separate winged demon statuesfound in four different corners of the woodlands, there’s a haze that obscures your vision here, but you can easilyfind each statue by using the horned devil statue in the center as a compass.

You can only destroy a demon statue when it is covered in glowing red fissures. This condition moves from statue to statue fairly often, so destroy the statues quickly to avoid missing your opportunity and having to come back.

Once a statue is destroyed, its face will break off and a praying woman inside will be exposed. After all four statues are destroyed, you’ll need toturn the statues to match the symbol in line with it featured on one of the four surfaces of the gate below the horned devil.

When the statue matches the symbol, the symbol on the gate will glow red.Turn each statue to match and the gate will unlock, allowing you to escort the lamb locked inside.

Before escorting the lamb, be sure to purchase the door at the far end of the woodlands in line with where the horned devil is facing. Otherwise, the escort route will take you through the cramped quarters of the Caverns.

Stand near the lamb to escort it forward, and eventually,the lamb will bring you back to the chapel where it will walk into a small space beneath a horned devil statue similar to the one in the woodlands.The lamb will baa and a mincing sound will occur.

From here, you need to kill zombies while standing within a red circle that appears around the devil statue. It will take a couple of rounds to get all of the essence you need, somake sure your weapons are fully stocked with ammunition before beginning this endeavor.

Only you need to be standing inside of the red circle to extract zombie essence. The zombies can be standing anywhere when they die including outside of the circle.

Once enough essence has been extracted, a cylinder will become available for pickup beneath the devil statue. Grab it and head back down the mausoleum into the Morgue.

Get The Hero Cylinder

This is a good time tosupercharge your Thunderbolt to Tier 2;it should be about round 15, and your Tier 1 Thunderbolt will not be dealing as much damage anymore. Head back to the main chamber and upgrade your weapon, then go back the way you came into the morgue.

Interact with the furnace in the morgue to start the quest for the final cylinder. Stand next to the furnace to open it, and once it’s open, you’ll need tokill blazesingers (the fire zombies) near the furnace to light its flame.

If you can position the blazesingers to shoot firebolts at the furnace, this also ignites the flame. It’s considerably harder to do it this way though unless a blazesinger is the last zombie left alive in a round.

After the flame is lit,kill zombies and collect their entrails;you’ll need ten entrails total to feed to the furnace,you must place them in the furnace by interacting with it, and the hero cylinder will unlock.Walk to the end of the hall and collect it from behind the gate that opened, then return to the main chamber and place all four cylinders in the podium.

Escort The Syphoner

Unfortunately, the power fails and the vault won’t open just yet, so head back through the morgue toward the police purchasing station, take a left and you’ll end up in the circular-shaped Broadcast Room. Stand in the red circle underneath the syphoner to escort it around the Broadcast Room.

If you leave the Syphoner’s circle before fully escorting it, it will reset to its original position and you will lose your escort progress.

As you escort the Syphoner around the room, it will stop at points and require you to extract the essence, so kill zombies while standing inside of the red circle radius. Thankfully,you only need a fraction of the essence that you did to obtain the Cerberus cylinder,and once enough essence is extracted, you can continue escorting the Syphoner.

Open The Vault Door

Return to the main chamber and stand inside the red circle at the center of the room, which will slowly open the vault door. There are many zombie spawn points inside this room;this is a rather dangerous task,so ensure that you’re properly equipped for it by purchasing perks, supercharging your Thunderbolt to Tier 3, or supercharging another weapon.

Destroy The Power Coils

Move through the open vault doors into the lower level of the Broadcast Room, where four pillars are placed around the orb at the center of the room. Each pillar will take turns opening and exposing red coils inside;when the coils are exposed you mustshoot the pillar to destroy the power coil and repeat this process until all four coils are destroyed.

Defeat Abraham

A door will open inside the broadcast room that leads to the final boss fight chamber, and Abraham awaits you inside. Thankfully,he will only begin attacking if you shoot him,making it easy to kill all but one of the zombies in the current round before starting the boss fight.

If you kill all of the zombies in a round while facing Abraham, he will run away and the boss fight will reset.

This is a somewhat difficult fight as red buttons with skulls and crossbones will appear on several parts of the floor, and if you walk on them, they will damage you. Meanwhile, parts of the floor will alight in red and damage you over time if you remain standing on them.

At the same time, Abraham will be attacking you with all he’s got including an attack that pulls you directly on top of him.Immediately run away from him when he pulls you toward him and avoid the buttons and heated floors,and you should be okay.

Upon defeating Abraham, you canchoose to either exit the map through a portal or continue killing zombies.You’ve beaten the main quest line for the Cursed Lands of Lavernock, but there’s much left to do if you want to end the zombie threat once and for all.
