The mid-season update for Season 4 is now available inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, bringing with it a new set of Weekly Challenges. Completing any five of these challenges will unlock a new weapon or powerful Aftermarket Part. This week, completing five challenges will unlock the Sledgehammer melee weapon, capable of killing most enemies in a single hit.
This week’s challenges are also quite easy to complete, making this the perfect time to jump in and unlock some new items. This guide will briefly go over how to unlock the Sledgehammer, and we’ll cover how to complete every Week 5 challenge in MW3’s fourth season.
Week 5 Challenge Reward
If you complete any five challenges this week, you’ll unlock theSledgehammer melee weaponfor use in Multiplayer, MWZ, and Warzone. The Sledgehammer trades attack speed for raw damage, one-tapping almost everything you swing at. Once this season ends, you may obtain the Sledgehammer through theArmory Unlocks system.
Open 50 loot caches in Warzone.
2,500 XP
In Fortune’s Keep, get 10 Operator kills in the northern region (Gatehouse, Keep, Terraces).
5,000 XP
In Fortune’s Keep, get 10 Operator kills in the eastern region (Konni Outpost, Lighthouse, Pier, Winery).
Complete 10 contracts in Warzone.
In Fortune’s Keep, get 10 Operator kills in the southern region (Ground Zero).
7,500 XP
In Fortune’s Keep, get 10 Operator kills in the western region (Graveyard, Overlook, Town).
