And, most of all, it has secrets and fun little twists and turns you’re able to experience, one being the ability to control the color of your Yoshi that joins your party during the third chapter of the game’s story!
How To Change Yoshi’s Color
DuringChapter ThreeofPaper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door,Mario, and his newfound friends must travel to theGlitz Pitto obtain theGold Starand will encounter something strange during their time there: anEgg that is running away from Hoggle,the Hot Dog Stand owner, fleeing for its life.
After theEgg jumps on top of the Hot Dog Stand, Mario can use his Paper Airplane ability to reach it.This allows him to take the Egg in,sparing it from being turned into a cuisine of some sort.From here, theEgg will remain in Mario’s Locker Roomuntil after Mario’s first encounter with the Iron Adonis Twins.
Uponlosing the scripted first encounter against the Iron Adonis Twins,Mario returns to his Locker Room and notices theEgg is missing.After a short period,a Yoshi will approach Mario, revealing that he was in the Eggthat Mario spared in the plaza.
Thecolor of Yoshi that will approach you depends on how long he was in the Egg.So, if youwant a specific color of Yoshi,youmay have to take your time to reach the Iron Adonis Twins or will have to speed up your pacingto get the one you want!

We recommend speeding through to just before the Adonis Twins encounter and creating a Save just before it. From here, you can wait outside the door for as long as you wish to get your desired Yoshi color. If the color of Yoshi you got isn’t what you wanted, you can close the application and begin the waiting period again from the save you recently created!
