Catching Big Fish is one of the most challenging and often frustrating ‘endgames’ ofFinal Fantasy 14. These piscine perils are elusive and often require very specific strategies to acquire, if not overly specific bait or lures. This frustration might only be compounded by an in-game event that nudges you in the direction of a difficult fish to catch.

The Salter is one such fish. Found in La Noscea, you’ll need to be a pretty accomplished Fisher to even attempt to catch this devious prize. But ForWeek 3 of The Second Hunt for Genesis, which runs until June 4, you’ll get a nice haul of Tomestones for doing so.
