As you encounter various creatures inPalworld, many of them will be hostile to you. The fearsome Pals on the archipelago don’t take kindly to strangers, so you’ll have your work cut out for you. Thankfully, there are a few Pals that won’t attack you on sight–the downside is that they’re hard to find.
Added in the Sakurajima update, Mimogs are adorable little dog-like treasure chests that can be found in various places across the Palpagos Islands. Finding one is a treat, and catching one comes with its own rewards. Here’s everything you need to know to find and catch you own Mimog.
Where To Find Mimog
Mimog isan illusive Pal, making it difficult to find them. Thankfully, they can befound all over the mapon many of the islands–the problem becomes locating one. Mimogsappear to be treasure chestsupon first glance, but you may’t interact with them!
The best places to find Mimogs aretowards the center of the world map, spreading westwardtowards the volcano and Sakurajima. During the day, it’s easier to spot these little Pals. The frozen mountains are also a good place to look for one of these littel treasures.
At night, you may have luckfinding Mimogs in the desert, as the open sands are easier to explore. Beware the temperature!
How To Catch Mimog
Mimog is difficult to catch. If you attack one, it will reveal itself andrun away at breakneck speed. It’s almost impossible to capture them once they run off.
Instead, have a Pal like Beakon attackit while you stand by. The Pal willcontinue to attack Mimogbut not scare it off. You can thenwait until Mimog’s health is low before throwing a Pal Sphereat it.
Doing so isnot guarenteed to catch a Mimog, but it will increase your chances the better Pal Sphere you use.
Trapping A Mimog
One surefire way to catch a Mimog is to trap it. Mimogs won’t run away if you interact with the world around them, so you canbuild foundations, walls, and fences around themto keep them from running away when you attack.
Once they’re fenced in,unleash the power of your weaponsand Pals until the Mimog’s health is low. Throw an appropriately leveled Pal Sphere at them and capture them! Remember toaim for the back for a bonus. You can deconstruct the walls once you’re done.
Mimogs willdrop Dog Coinswhen caught, allowing you tosave up and purchase items from the Medal Merchantat the Desolate Church.
Once you have a Mimog, you canput them to work at your base. However, they only havesuitability for gathering at level one, so they’re not particularly useful when compared to other Pals deployed at your base.
However, their Partner Skill is quite unique. WithMaster of Unlocking, your Mimog canopen a treasure chest without consuming a key. The type of chest depends on the skill level, but it’s nonetheless a useful ability to have.
