Even thoughWuthering Waveswas released with up to 17 characters at launch, the developers have still done a great job at making each character unique. The in-game combat is already quite fun because of the timed dodges and parries, but some of these characters can make it a lot more fun.
One of the best examples of this would be Taoqi, a four-star Broadblade character dealing Havoc damage. This character has her entire kit based around parrying the enemies, reducing the damage for your team, and healing herself when needed.
Best Taoqi Weapons
The first thing you’d want to do while building Taoqi is looking for a weapon that suits her play style. In most cases, you’d want to build this character in a waythat allows her to take little field time since she’s a support, and these are the weapons that suit it:

Dauntless Evernight
The best thing about Taoqi is that a four-star weapon is her best in slot. This one gives you someextra ATK and DEF while also increasing her DEF massivelythrough the secondary stat.
It is perfect for getting high shields, damage reduction, and damage dealt on Taoqi.

Discord
This weapon is perfect for Taoqi’s quick swap play style as it helps youregenerate extra Concerto Energywhile also giving you the Resonance Liberation quicker.

Broadblade Of Voyager
Finally, if you don’t have the other weapons mentioned above, you’re able to use this three-star one toget even more Liberation energy on Taoqi, allowing you to build her as a semi-DPS.
Taoqi Echo Guide
Wuthering Waves features a unique echo system where you canplace up to five echoeson each character once you get them in the overworld. These echoes can give Taoqi some useful stats, andalso have bonus effects if you have two or five piecesfrom the same set. Here are the set bonuses you should look for her:
Moonlit Clouds
Impermanence Heron
This is the set you’d want to use if you’re building Taoqi as a support, which gives her far more value in the team. With Impermanence Hero and the set bonus, you’ll beable to give a ton of ATK boostto the character you switch to.
Sun-Sinking Eclipse
Dreamless
On the other hand, this set and echo should be used if you want to deal a bit of damage with her. Keep in mind, however, thather normal attacks don’t deal a lot of DMGsince they scale on ATK.

Once you’re done choosing an echo set for her, the next step is to find the echoes with the following stats:

You can have up to five sub-stats on each echo in Wuthering Waves, which allows you to build someCrit and Havoc DMG Bonus on Taoqi even if you’re building her as a support. She can deal a bit of damage with her three buffed basic attacks, Intro Skill, and Liberation, so these stats will help you out there.
As for the sub-stats, you should look for as much DEF, Energy Regen, and Crit as you may. You canalso look for Basic Attack or Liberation DMG Bonus.
Best Team Members For Taoqi
This is where the problem with Taoqi currently shines out in Wuthering Waves. Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of characters dealing a ton of damage with their Resonance Skill,which is the part that she buffs with her Outro ability. Still, you can use the following characters to get some value:
Havoc Rover
While most damage fromHavoc Rover comes from their Basic Attackand Resonance Liberation, you canstill deal a ton of DMG with their Skill, especially if you have the second waveband.
Mortefi
While Mortefi is supposed to be built as a support himself, there is a scenario where you can build him as a DPS due to his high damage numbers,which mostly come from his Skill.
Chixia
Chixia is another free character that you can use, andshe gets a bit of value from her Skill.
Encore
Finally, Encore relies on almost every type of damage in her kit, but she can deal quite amassive blow with her Skill due to the low cooldown, making way for synergy with Taoqi.
Taoqi Forte Priority
If you’ve been playing Wuthering Waves for a while, you might’ve alreadyrealized that you get quite limited resources in the game. This means that you can’t just upgrade everything on every character, and support characters are the best ones to save some of your EXP materials.
You can start by upgrading her Resonance Skill, followed by her Forte Circuit and Basic Attack. However, if you’re onlybuilding Taoqi for being quick swapped on the field, you don’t need to upgrade her Intro Skill and Resonance Liberation. Of course, you’d still want to unlock her Inherent Skills as fast as possible.
