If you’re an F2P or low-spending player inGenshin Impact, the release of four-star DPS characters can be quite important. These characters aren’t limited and you can get them to constellation six quite easily with a bit of luck.Sethosis one such example of a decent four-star unit to acquire early on in the game.
Released during the first phase of Version 4.7, Sethos is a Bow userwith the Electro vision. Most of his damage relies on Charged Attacks, and he also has a unique mechanic that you need to utilize to get the most out of him.
Weapons
Hunter’s Path,Cloudforged
Whenever a character is released in Genshin Impact, you can usually find at least two play styles for them, albeit one of them being weaker than the other. Unfortunately, when it comes to Sethos,you don’t have a lot of choices for the play stylesince his kit relies on somequick Burst damagefor a few seconds.
He has two main methods of dealing damage:
As it might already be clear, most of Sethos' damage comes from these special attacks that can only be performed a limited amount of times. This makes him asub-DPS that you can use to deal a bit of damagewhen your main DPS is having a downtime. For this, Wanderer’s Troupe and Gilded Dreams sets are both perfect.
Apart from ATK, Sethos' charged attacks also scale on his Elemental Mastery, withone passive buffing these attacks up to 700 percentof your EM.
The former set can increase his Charged Attack DMG while thelatter can give you some extra Elemental Mastery or ATK. Thankfully, when it comes to Sethos' weapon, you can simply use a free four-star bow called Cloudforged. It’s tailor-made for Sethos as it increases his Elemental Mastery whenever his energy is reduced.
Keep in mind that this is a time-limited bow thatyou can only get during an event in the Version 4.7. If you don’t have access to this, you can either use the five-star Hunter’s Path or any other bow that can provide him with some Elemental Mastery.
Sethos Artifact Stat Priority
It might be easy to get Sethos and his weapon, but itwon’t be nearly as easy to build the artifact sets on him. Regardless of the set you choose, you’ll have to look for some specific stats. This gets even harder because of his split-scaling:

Crit DMG/Rate > Elemental Mastery > ATK Percent > Energy Recharge
Feather
ATK
Goblet
Electro DMG Bonus
Circlet
Crit Rate/DMG
It’s important to get as much Elemental Mastery as you’re able to on Sethos since you get a ton of buffs from it.
However, thisdoesn’t mean that you can neglect his ATK Percent requirements, which is what makes him hard to build.
Ideally, you’d want to have at least 500 Elemental Mastery on Sethos once he’s fully built, but you canalso rely on certain characters that can increase this stat.
Sethos Talent Priority
For a four-star unit, Sethos can be quite a resource-intensive character. Apart from the difficulty of getting the right stats for him, you also have to essentially upgrade all of his talents. However,the Normal Attack easily takes priority heresince this talent has the multiplier for his special charged attack, which is one of the main sources of damage.
After that, you can get his Elemental Burst to upgrade the other source of damage, and finally his Elemental Skill. Thankfully,you don’t have to fully upgrade his Skillsince it doesn’t have a lot of significance, so you can leave it at around level six. The extra energy you can get from this ability doesn’t go up with your levels.
