InManor Lords, your task of growing the settlement is of the highest priority. Managing food, providing wood to burn during winter, and making an army to protect yourself from invaders are some of the most important tasks. However, sometimes a seemingly small task, like constructing roads, can significantly improve the lives of citizens.
Road placement is one of the many construction tasks that you must do to increase the efficiency of the citizens working at various jobs in the game. A well-connected road infrastructure significantly reduces travel time, allowing workers to reach storehouses, granaries, burgages, and workplaces quicker.

How To Place Roads
To place roadsin the game, press theR button on the keyboardand you will access theRoads menu. You need to place at least two connecting points to make a road. For this,select an area and press the mouse’s left button.This willpin one point anywhereyou place the cursor.
Pick any length and direction andpress the button again to draw the second road connecting point. Once this is done,click the hammer iconand you will see a road placement.
You canconstruct as many road points as necessary, and they can be short or long, depending on the situation or requirements of the town.
Clicking the right mouse button will undo the road point. This is useful for deleting a point if you accidentally created it.
You can onlyplace or make new roads in your occupied regions. Making roads in the regions controlled by enemies and unclaimed regions is not possible, hence the option is always disabled. The road points will also be disabled if there is no place to put them.
You can alsoadjust road curvature by holding the CTRL button and scrolling the mouse scroll button. Turning this setting to the left side of the bar will make roads linear and without any curves. However, if youincrease the mark to the right side of the bar,curvature in road placement increases.
How To Delete Roads
As you progress and make your settlement grow from a small town to a large town,creating thebest city layoutwill need some redesigning. Deleting some early-game roads will be a good startto redoing the layout and making it more connected.
To delete roads,press and hold the ALT buttonon the keyboard andclick the left mouse button on any roadyou have placed already. Thisaction will prompt a road deletion boxon the screen, allowing you tocompletely remove a road.
Pressing the mentioned button combinationswill remove any two road points, no matter the overall lengthof the road.
