Genshin Impact’sgacha system is one of its main attractions as this is what makes players want to keep playing the game and grinding for Primogems. This also leads to a lot of hype every three weeks when the banner changes, especially when a new limited character gets released for the first time.
There was quite a lot of hype surrounding Clorinde’s release during the Version 4.7 update since she’s one of the main characters featured in Fontaine’s story. If you’re planning to get this beautiful character for your account, you’ll want to know how to build her properly.
Best Clorinde Builds
Before you start building a character in Genshin Impact, it’s important to understand exactly what they do. Thankfully, it’s quite easy to understand Clorinde’s kitas most of it revolves around her Elemental Skill. When this skill is used, she enters a special state where she consistently attacks the surrounding enemies with Electro normal attacks.
These attacksbuild Bond of Life on her, and you can repeatedly use thisSkill again to clear the Bond of Life, deal high AoE damage, and healClorinde. Moreover, whenever her Elemental Burst is ready, it can be used to deal damage to the enemies and get some extra Bond of Life as well.
If you bring along a healer with Clorinde, she canconvert their healing into Bond of Lifewhen she’s in her skill’s special state.
The conversion rate becomes much higher with theLawful Remuneration passive unlocked.
With all of this in mind, here are some of the builds that you can use on this character:
Weapons
Absolution,Light of Foliar Incision,Mistsplitter Reforged,Blackcliff Longsword
This is arguably the best build you’re able to use on Clorinde as long as youhave the right artifacts, weapons,and support characters. Whenever you use Clorinde’s skill, you can deal consistent high damage for the next 7.5 seconds, but the ability goes in a 16-second cooldown, giving you some downtime afterward.
With this build, you’ll have to capitalize on that damage by rotating to other units in your party during this downtime andgetting as many buffs on Clorinde as possible. Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy is the best in slot artifact set for this since it gives her some ATK and DMG bonus whenever her Bond of Life changes, which happens often.
You can also use Gladiator’s Finaleif you don’t have good pieceson the Whimsy set.
Alternatively, you can use two-pieces for sets with ATK bonus as well, butyou’ll lose some value so those pieces will need great stats.
Clorinde can already have quite a lot of Crit Rate in her base kit since she gets some on ascensions andher passive also provides her with a 20 percent Crit Rate. It’s quite easy to have too much Crit Rate on this character, and to avoid that, you’ll have to use various weapons mentioned above with Crit DMG as the secondary stat.
Absolution will always work the best for her as it’s her signature weapon giving hereven more Crit DMG and DMG increase based on Bond of Life. However, if you’re an F2P or low-spending player, you can easily replace this with Blackcliff Longsword to get some ATK bonus for defeating enemies.

Clorinde has a special passive that increases her normal attack and Burst DMG whenever she triggers Electro-based reactions, which opens up the way for making a team relying on dealing elemental reaction damageinstead of relying on Clorinde as the sole DPS uniton the team like the build above.
Of course, it’s important to mention that you’ll still get more value from the main DPS build in the endgame content, but this oneworks well in overworld where you need as little downtime as possible. Thundering Fury enables this build as it reduces her skill’s CD by one second every time an Electro-related reaction triggers except Swirl and Crystallize.
The cooldown reduction can only be triggered once every 0.8 seconds, butyou won’t be triggering reactions faster than thatin most cases.
Since you’re relying on elemental reactions, you’d want to have as much Elemental Mastery as possible with this build,opening the way for all the EM-related weapons mentioned above.

Elemental Mastery is an important stat on Clorinde even if you’re using her as a main DPS sinceElectro attacks get massive buffswith reactions like Aggravate.
Clorinde Talent Priority
Since Clorinde’s kit is quite straightforward, her talent priorities are also the same. You’d want to start with her Elemental Skill as most of her multipliers are here. Even though her Pistolet attacks are considered as normal attacks, their multipliers are still in the skill itself, making it the priority.
After the skill, you can focus on getting her Elemental Burst up as you’ll regularly use it, andthe damage you can get from it isn’t something to ignore. Finally, you can ignore her basic attack trace if you want to be efficient with resources since you’re never going to use these attacks in your rotation.
