Once you’ve reached the ending sequence ofDragon’s Dogma 2, you’llenter the game’s true ending, where the Unmoored World and draconic bosses await. While you’re completingthe Halls Of The First Dawn questto evacuate the lands, there will be a set of bosses to fight, each located at the pink beams of light on the map.
At first, you may only notice four beams of light, but once you complete four fights or wait long enough, the fifth beam and boss will reveal themselves. If you want to delay the coming apocalypse, destroying the architects of the coming storm is the best way to save the Unmoored World in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
What Are The Purgener Bosses?
The Purgener Dragon bossesin the Unmoored World are a set of four dragons (and one jar) that you fight to slow the encroaching storm.
As you kill these bosses, theprogression of the red stormand its fogwill slowand stop.
Each boss isfound adjacent to the location of other postgame questsin The Unmoored World, so be sure to fight each boss and evacuate the nearby town to complete the true ending.
Where Are The Purgener Bosses & How To Summon Them
EveryPurgener Dragon bosscan besummoned by approaching the pink beam and examining it, then using the Godsbane Blade to activate the beam.
Allfive Purgener bossesare located nearone of the major evacuation locations:
You may need torest at an inn to trigger the fifth Purgenerto spawn.
The Bakbattahl Purgener is differentfrom the other bosses and hasan associated quest – A Scholarly Pursuit.
You must reach and destroy a Draconic jar alongside Phaesus rather than fight a large boss.
There aretwo types of Purgener bossesto fight, so devising a strategy to beat them all won’t be a simple matter of mastering one fight.
How To Defeat The Purgener Bosses
Overall,you will fight two full-sized draconic Purgener bosses, and a third type of enemy – a Draconic Jar in Bakbattahl.
The Draconic Jar isn’t technically a boss, as it is destroyed in one hit, so let’s focus on the othertwo types of bosses:
Bothbosses have weak points that you must target, but how you go about fighting each will differ.
How To Kill The Wyrms (Sacred Arbor & Excavation Site)
The slithering Wyrm Purgener bossesare located at the Sacred Arbor and the fifth beam at the Excavation Site.
Each of these bosses is fairly harmless while they’re moving around the battlefield, so take advantage and use that time toattack the red spots along their body until they pop.
Slitheringis the time toattack, while you should insteadrun, and dodge damageduring the typhoon and meteor attacks.
Your attacks will be largely ineffective against any Purgener boss if you are not targeting their weak points, so methodically destroy each of them.
As each weak point is broken, the Purgener’s worm-likebody will begin to harden from tail to head.
Once you’ve destroyed all the weak points,go for the faceto finish these bosses off.
How To Kill The Drakes (Vernworth & Volcanic Island)
The Drake Purgeners are far more dangerous than their worm-like cousins, asthese beasts attack with far more regularity.
These bosses also boast meteor storms and dangerous typhoons that spread out along the battlefield.
These winged Purgeners will unleasha three typhoon attackthat strikes a large area while the worm-like typhoon attack only features a single large typhoon that remains in place around the boss.
Similar to the other bosses, you must jump onto the Purgener’s body andattack the weak points along their spinesand on their limbs.
After all red spots are destroyed,target the unicorn-like horn on the Purgener’s face with your attacks, which will deal massive damage until you completely deplete the boss' health bar.
Don’t bother attacking the bodiesof either boss type, as the damage is incredibly minimal.
Destroying weak pointsis the key to victory.
What Rewards Do You Get From Defeating The Purgener Bosses?
Each Purgener boss will bestow an identical set of rewards for defeating them in battle:
If you defeat each of the four dragon bosses, that will leave you with a minimum of 360 Wyrmslife Crystals to use onendgame gear for new game plus.
