As you explore Solaris-3 inWuthering Waves, you’ll come across many different world bosses. These bosses each drop valuable materials used to Ascend your characters and increase their power levels, allowing you to take on tougher challenges like Tactical Holograms or the Tower of Adversity.
The Mech Abomination is a unique world boss that drops an Ascension material required for Yinlin, one of the strongest support DPS characters in the game. Below, we’ll take a look at everything you need to know about the Mech Abomination, including where to find it and how to beat it.
Mech Abomination Location
The Mech Abomination is found in theCourt of Savantae Ruinsarea of theWhining Aix’s Mireregion, to theeast of the Fallen Grave. You can get here bygliding down from the cliff to the south, near the Mourning Aix’s boss arena.
Be sure toactivate the Resonance Beaconon the balcony of the abandoned structure before dropping into the Mech Abomination’s arena.
How To Beat The Mech Abomination
The Mech Abomination is a biomechanical Tacet Discord with the power of Electro. Using its massive reinforced fists, the Mech Abomination usesslow but powerful sweeping and slamming attacks. Luckily, these attacks havelarge wind-ups, making them fairly straightforward to dodge.
Watch out for the Mech Abomination’sgrab attack. When it startswinding up with its left hand, get ready to move. If it grabs you, you’ll take a big chunk of damage while beingimmobilized for a few seconds.
The Mech Abomination will also use aspinning attackwhich deals continuous damage as itmoves towardsyou. However, the boss willstop moving for a few moments after this attack, so use this time to get some damage in.
None of the Mech Abomination’s attacks can beparried.
Occasionally, the boss will roar beforesending out lightning boltsfrom itself. Be extra careful when dodging these, as you don’t want to dodge out of the way of one lightning bolt only to land in another.
When the boss roars, sometimesrubble will fall from the ceiling, which you may thenthrow at the bosswith theLevitator tool. This will dealhigh damage to its Vibration Strengthgaugewhile giving you a moment to attack.
Recommended Team
The Mech Abomination is attuned to Electro, giving it aninnate resistance to Electro damage. Because of this, you may not want to use main-DPS Electro characters like Calcharo.
Because this bossdoes not have any parryable attacks, you may want to use aranged characterfor extra safety.Encore andChixiaare great choices with high damage, while melee characters likeJiyanorLingyangwill also perform well.
As always, you’ll want to bring along asupport DPS and a healer. Ultimately, who you bring depends on your roster and who you have built up, but we recommend going with a team like this.
