The flowers covering it may look pretty, but they spread a deadly, fiery poison, and it’s all caused by the Tacet Field in the area. Matching the burning nature of the area, the Inferno Rider is a flaming enemy that rules its roads.
With a massive sword, deadly motorcycle, and Fusion-based attacks, this Tacet Discord is a potent mixture of speed and strength, and you’ll need the materials it drops for your Fusion characters. If you’re lucky, you might even get an echo of the Inferno Rider once it’s defeated.

How To Find The Inferno Rider
The Inferno Rider islocated in the Sea of Flameson thesouthwestern edge of Huanglong, but similar to other Overlord and Calamity class bosses, you’ll need tomeet some requirements before you’re able to fightit. You’ll need toreach SOL3 Phase Two at leastand unlock the ability to fight bosses, and you’ll also need to havecompleted its accompanying sidequest, We Promise We Deliver, which involves a scripted fight with the boss andunlocks the ability to fight it normally.
We Promise, We Deliverstarts as soon as you hit SOL3 Phase Two, and you’ll get the initial introductionin your in-game mailthat will direct you to the quest.

How To Beat The Inferno Rider
The Inferno Rider is afast-paced boss with a lot of range, and it essentiallyhas two phases. During thefirst half of the fight, the Inferno Rider will beriding its motorcycle, and it’lluse it both as movement and to attack.
The Inferno Rider’sfire explosion as it’s getting onto its motorcycleat the beginning of the battle can hurt you anddoes high damageif it hits, alongside inflicting Fusion Burst stacks.

Once youbreak its Vibration Strength, it willenter phase two, leave its motorcycle behind, andtransition to combat on foot with its sword, where it’llhave a different movesetcompared to before.
Dealing With Phase One
While it’son the motorcycle, the Inferno Rider’s attackscan’t be counterattacked, so you’ll want tofocus entirely on dodgingwhile it’s in this mode andtry to do damage in between its attacksas opposed to going all offense. It will frequentlytry to smash you with its front wheelor use itssword to slash at youfrom atop the motorcycle, sododge to either side and rush in to do some damagebefore it can speed away or retaliate.
The Inferno Rider’sattacks inflict you with stacks of Fusion Burst, and they’ll cause you to explode and take damage upon reaching themaximum of ten stacks.

For the most part, it willmostly stick to these attacks, but it mayoccasionally drive away and charge youfrom across the battlefield on its motorcycle as well. Because of the Inferno Rider’s speed in this phase, it’sgoing to keep close to you and won’t let you retreatto heal or let the Fusion Burst Stacks its attacks generate go away, sododge as much as you canto avoid the status effects.
Dealing With Phase Two
In phase two, the Inferno Rider isjust as fast as before, but it’llonly use its sword to attackand mostly has large, sweepingattacks with a pretty wide range. Since it’s on foot now, you’ll also beable to counterattack several of these attacks, butabout half of its movescan’t be counterattacked andneed to be dodgedstill.
It canstill do its charging attackas well, but ithas a slightly longer wind-upand inflicts more Fusion Burst stacks. Unlike aboss like Tempest Mephis, which focuses on counterattacks, the Inferno Riderdoesn’t take any extra Vibration Strength damage from counterattacks, but it’s stilladvantageous to do as many of them as possiblefor the extra damage.

Focus ondealing as much damage as possibleto quicklydeplete its Vibration Strengthwith echoes like the Lampylumen Myriad, andget it immobilized, then hit it with your best DPS characters' attacks.
Recommended Characters And Echoes
With how much damage the Inferno Rider can put out itself combined with the potential explosions from Fusion Burst, you’llwant to make sure you have either Baizhi or Verinaon your team for their healing skills.
Baizhi especially shinesdue to herResonance Liberation providing healingover timeeven if she’s off the fieldand ability to provide a bit of extra Glacio damage from afar.

For DPS, you’llwant touse Glacio characterslikeSanhuaorLingyangfor the extra damage they inflict on the Inferno Rider, especially since you cancombine their Glacio damagewith one of the best buffing Echoes available, the Lampylumen Myriad, whichbuffs any Glacio character’s Glacio and Resonance Skill damageafter its use.
Characters withself-sustain and self-healinglikeTaoqiorDanjincan also help you get through this boss if youhaven’t unlocked any Glacio charactersbesides Baizhi yet. Even if you do have Glacio DPS characters,Taoqi’s Resonance Skillprovides some very usefuldamage reduction for three hits.

Non-Glacio characters work perfectly fine as DPS, such asJiyanorCalcharo, but using Glacio ones does provide you with some overall extra damage due to the boss' lower Glacio resistance.
For echoes, the fight will bemade much easier by bringingBell-borne Geochelone, not just for its Glacio damage, but because it alsobuffs your charactersby providing bothincreased damage dealtandreducing the damage taken,no matter what element they are.
AnyGlacio-damage-dealing Echoes are the best pickif you don’t have anything else, and for defensive options, theStonewall Bracer remains a good pick, especially if you don’t have moretanky Resonators like Taoqi, as it willgive you a damage shieldon a successful hit, allowing you to avoid some of the Inferno Rider’s high damage briefly.
Inferno Rider Rewards
Once the Inferno Rider is gone, you canspend 60 Waveplatesat theglowing flower that appearsin the Tacet’s center, and you’llreceive a variety of rewardsfor beating it:Union EXP, Shell Credits,EXP Items, and Intimacy Points. AtSOL3 Phase Three or higher, the Inferno Rider will alsobegin dropping a character Ascension Materiallike other bosses called theRage Tacet Core, which isused to ascend Fusion characterslikeEncoreandChixia.
The Inferno Rider can alsodrop and be absorbed as an Echo occasionallylike other Overlord and Calamity Class bosses, and it’llmost often end up being a higher rarity, depending on what rarity level you have access to in your Data Bank.
The Inferno Rider’s Echo has a special skill, and it can bebriefly used as a high-speed mountby pressing and holding the Echo skill key during or outside of battle.
