How To Beat The Bell-Borne Geochelone
The Bell-Borne Geochelone is unique among bosses in the game due to the bell found on its back.Dealing enough damage to this bell will destroy it, causing the boss to take a large amount ofVibration Strength damage. This makes it more easy tostun the boss into its vulnerable state, where you can pour on the damage.
However, getting up on the Bell-Borne Geochelone’s back is another matter. The best way to get up is touse the Grappleto pull yourself onto its back. Once you’re up there, attack the bell as much as you can before you’re inevitably flung off.

The bell willregenerate after a few moments, allowing you torepeat this strategy. However, if you stay on the boss’s back for too long, it will spawn severalice spritesaround you that will continuously fire ice shards at you. You’ll have to repeatedly dodge to avoid these, or use a ranged character to take them out.
Each of the Bell-Borne Geochelone’slimbs aretargetable, but using the target camera against this boss can be very finicky. We recommendmanually aiming your attacksinstead.

The Bell-Borne Geochelone mainly usessweeping head and tail attackscombined with powerful full-body slam attacks.None of its attacks are parryable, so you’ll have torely on dodgingto avoid taking damage.
The boss will also occasionallyleap into the air beforedescending in alarge slam attack, dealing high damage. It will thenroar, dealingcontinuous damagein the area. Try to avoid the body slam by dodging away from the boss, then stay at a distance for a moment while it roars.

You’ll also need to be wary of the Bell-Borne Geochelone’sGlacio area attacks. These will createdangerous spots on the groundthat explode in damage, so be sure to quickly get out of the way when you see them appear.
Overall, the strategy for this fight is fairly straightforward.Attack the bellwhen you can toknock the boss into a vulnerable state, then use yourhighest-damage attacksto deplete its health bar. In between, avoid its sweeping attackswhile getting in hits where you can, and eventually, the boss will go down.
Recommended Team
The Bell-Borne Geochelone is aGlacioTacet Discord, so it will naturally beresistant to Glacio damage. Keep this in mind when structuring your team for this fight.
Also, as mentioned above, this boss hasno parryable attacks, so you don’t necessarily need to use a melee character. However, it can bedifficult to consistently hit the boss’s bellwhen on its back with aranged characterdue to theawkward targeting system. In this case, it may be easier overall tobring a melee characterfor your main DPS.
Because of this, we recommend bringing a team with a strong melee DPS, a secondary DPS to support them, and a healer to restore your team’s health. The following team is a strong example.
Of course, you can swap out these characters for whoever you have, just be sure to keep in mind any potentialsynergies through Intro and Outro Skills.
