Quick Links
The seven-star Tera Raid events inPokemon Scarlet And Violetare still going strong, and the latest one is Meganium. Like Venusaur, Meganium is a bulky Grass-type starter, however it has less to work with in terms of type coverage and its ability doesn’t come into play in this fight at all.
Ghost Type Pokemon can easily threaten Meganium, but, especially if you want to attempt to solo the raid, you have to choose one with enough physical bulk that it can survive Meganium’s moves at its strongest. However, this raid is flexible enough that you can follow along with our strategy or experiment on your own.
Event Information
This event runs untilApril 7 at 11:59 PM UTC, and will be available again fromApril 12 to April 14.

Meganium is abulky physical attackerwhose main strategy is tomax out its Attack and Defense with Curseand then hit your party hard withSeed Bomb, Zen Headbutt, andBody Press.
It will useLight Screen and Reflectonce at thestart of the battleandBulldozeonce when it isdown to 30 percent of its HP.
Watch out for when it resets its own stats and its Speed returns to normal. If you’re not careful, it can start outspeeding you and attacking twice.
Best Counter For Meganium Tera Raid
Gholdengo’shigh Special Attack and good defensive typing make it the best counter for Meganium if you’re playing by yourself. Use the following build.
Modest
Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, Reflect, Recover
Immediately at the start of the battle, use Reflect, then use Shadow Balluntil Meganium’s shield goes up and it resets your stats.
Maximize your Special Attack with Nasty Plotbefore Terastalizing.
From this point on,keep using Shadow Ball until Meganium is defeated, only using something else if you need to keep Reflect up or usingRecoverif you need more HP than you’re able to get from the Shell Bell.
If you’d prefer to keep the defensive type coverage from Gholdengo’s Steel Type, this strategy also works with the Stellar Tera Type, though you will take super effective damage from Bulldoze.
This strategy is largely consistent, but the two random aspects aside from critical hits will beShadow Ball dropping Meganium’s Special Defense, orMeganium getting you to flinchwith Zen Headbutt.
Luckily, this strategy has a bit of wiggle room in the case of bad luck, and you should be able to take out Meganium easily.
