InAnother Crab’s Treasure, Krill goes from a timid crab to an outrageous one by the end of his journey, where he finds the lost home shell. Throughout the game, Krill faces off against formidable foes like giant crabs, octopuses, and other monstrous creatures.

However, the final boss fight is against a regular-sized crab, similar to Krill’s body—a boss fight that feels like fighting one’s alter-ego. Firth accompanies Krill throughout his journey to find the treasure but backstabs him by the end. This guide explains the location, attack patterns in the first and second phases, and the best strategy to beat Firth in the game.

How To Beat Firth, The Crab Who Stole The Whorl Boss

Firth is a unique bosswho moves swiftly, attacks very hard, and can kill Krill quickly. He issimilar to Krill but better and fastersince he wearsthe Perfect Whorl shell. However, if you have leveled up to the recommended stats above, this boss fight should not give you too much challenge in beating it.

While you’re able to bring any unlocked adaptations you want, theRoyal Wave level three adaptation is a better fit for this boss. The attackexecution is swiftand has a180-degree swing, so it isnearly impossible for Firthtoescape this attackevery time you use it.

When theRoyal Wave strikes Firth, Krill cantemporarily deal additional damage. Firth has decent health in both phases and with Krill’s light attack, it willtake a lot of time to beatthe boss.

Pairing the Royal Wave with the Scrap Hammerwill significantly increase Firth’s health drain per hit. Theshells attachedto the forkget damagedover timeand will break.

Since many shells are available in the Firth boss fight area, youshould frequently pick brand-new shellsand discard the damaged ones.

Phase One

You canparry and riposte most of the Firth’s attacks, the four-hit combo being the easiest one to do so. However, you must alsobe wary while blindly attacking Firth. The boss willsuddenly duck inside the Perfect Whorlshell, and if Krill strikes him, he willparry and riposte immediately.

Thecharged thrust attackis another of Firth’s attacks thatyou can dodge and parryquite easily because of the delayed animation.Hold the block buttonand release it immediately whenFirth’s spoon touches Krill. This will parry the attack, and pressing the light attack right after it willallow Krill to riposte.

Thespoon’s thrustandfour-hit combos are deadly, but thelong swordFirth manifests using the trash ismuch more lethal. The boss does atwo-hit comboconsisting of a swing followed by a slam.

While you can block or parry both attacks, we recommend running away from the weapon’s range to avoid being hit.

Firth rushing for aggro attack in Another Crab’s Treasure

Whilemaintaining distance from Firth to restore healthis a good strategy, be mindful that you are nottaking too long. If Krill continues to stay at a distance from Firth, theboss will teleport and immediately open a random attack. It could most likely be an adaptation attack.

Phase Two

In phase two,Firth’s agility is greatly reduced, but hetrades speed with hit damage. This means that each of theboss’s attacks will hit much harderin the second phase compared to the first one. Whether thetentacles clap,two-hit combosthat utilize the tentacles, orspiked ballsthat explode, all of themcan kill Krill quickly.

Firth will give youless chance to attackhimduring the second phase. However, staying at a medium distancewill allow Firth to doa two-hit combo, after which theboss pauses for a few secondsbefore moving on to the next attack.

This short time windowis your cue toattack Firthand deal damage. The best way to deal massive damage in a short duration is toopen the attack with the Royal Wave adaptation, followed by afew charged or light attackstrikes.

You must not make hasteduring the second phase, especially after the two-hit combo. That is because Firth will most likelydo a tentacle clap attackif Krill continues to do melee damage. This attack eats away nearly 30 to 40 percent of Krill’s health.

When the boss is left with 20 to 30 percent health, somecyclones will move randomly in the arena. If Krill ishit by a cyclone, it willthrow him in the air. It would bebest not to lock on to Firthduring the clutch moments in the second phase, as itgives you a better view of the cyclonesand allows you toescape before being caughtby them.

Continue hitting the boss andretreating to a safe distance, dodgethe attacks we have mentioned above, and you should beable to defeat Krill easily.
