It’s been quite a few years since the release ofGenshin Impact, and it’s not uncommon to see fights against various Fatui Harbingers. Hailing from Snezhnaya, this group of characters is one of the main hurdles for the Traveler during the main story, and most of these fights turn into weekly boss fights as well.

Players get to meet Arlecchino for the first time during the main story of Fontaine, and she quickly turns into a weekly boss after you finish her Story Quest. This boss has some of the most unique mechanics, and you’ll have to keep them in mind if you want to beat her.

Genshin Impact Arlecchino Boss With Red Aura

Arlecchino Boss Fight Mechanics

When you first look at the various attacks thatArlecchinocan throw at you, theremight not be a lot of difference from the many other attacksyou’ve seen in the game so far. This is true for most attacks up until you lower Arlecchino’s HP to 70 percent in the first phase, as all attacks before it simply deal damage on hit.

Once she gets to 70 percent HP, she enters a special state whereshe starts performing certain attacks that take away her own HP. If an attack like that hits you or your allies, Arlecchino will regenerate the HP back and the attacked ally will gain a bit of Bond of Life, which can be cleared by healing them up.

If the attacked unitalready has a Bond of Life, thedamage from these attacks gets quite a significant boost.

If you successfully clear the Bond of Life applied by Arlecchino, you will gain a Scarlet Nighttide that consistently rotates around your character, and you can hold up to two of these. Upon hitting Arlecchino with a Charged Attack, this Nighttide gets launched at her, dealing damage and interrupting her current attack.

This is mainly useful for two of her ultimate attacks. One of them is where she deals damage in the surrounding areabefore launching another massive AoE attack in the middle. Another attack, called the Bloodtide Banquet, is where she uses various strings to cause damage in a massive circle.

If you’re caught within this circle, you’ll likely end up losing the character, even if you have them under a shield.

This is especially true if the attacked character already has a Bond of Life.

Of course, if you time it well, you cansimply move out of the circle to avoid damage as well. Arlecchino also has a special passive where she can dodge or parry most of the ranged or turret-type attacks, which essentially forces you to use a melee unit.

How To Beat Arlecchino

As you can already see, the fight against The Knave can be quite overwhelming since you have to keep track of a lot of things:

Once you get used to all these mechanics, you candefeat Arlecchino with pretty much any team out there. Unfortunately, some of thebest DPS units come from the Pyro element, but she’s heavily resistant to it. Ideally, you’d want to use characters from other elements who have Charged Attack as one of the main parts of their kit.

Some examples of this areNeuvillette, Tighnari, and Sethos. All these characters can be great against Arlecchino if you have them built properly.

WhileTighnari is a ranged character, his special Charged Attack canlock on to Arlecchino and hit hereven if she dodges.

Another important type of team member you should have in this fight,as you might already know, is a healer. This is the best way to get rid of the Bond of Life given by Arlecchino quickly since you can only eat a limited amount of food. Once you have these conditions met, you can defeat this boss quite easily with some attention.

After defeating the boss, you can spend some Resin to claim various rewards including Adventure EXP, other EXP items, Mora, andthree of the exclusive items: Fading Candle, Silken Feather, and Denial and Judgement. At the highest level, you’ll commonly get two exclusive drops, which can be any of the three mentioned above.
