Honkai Star Rail’sAventurine is a five-star Imaginary Preservation unit seen in the story of Penacony as a member of the IPC. Many of Aventurine’s abilities tie into his gambler persona, often calling upon luck and chance to increase his effects. But whether you roll high or low, Aventurine is still an incredibly powerful sustain unit.
To make the most out of Aventurine, you need to level him up, ascend him, and level up his Traces. By doing these things, you will be increasing his capabilities to dish out protection and resistances to his teammates. There are lots of materials for you to gather, including Divine Amber, Tracks of Destiny, Suppressing Edict, and Shards of Destiny.
Aventurine Ascension Materials
To fully ascend Aventurine, you will need to farm the following materials:Suppressing Edict, Tatters of Thought, Fragments of Impression, and Shards of Desires. As always, you will also need lots ofCredits,and here is everything you will need per ascension level:

Aventurine Trace Materials
How many Trace materials you need overall will depend on which Traces you want to level up. Because Aventurine is a sustain unit, it’s best tofocus on his abilities that allow him to create shields and increase his allies' Effect Resistance and Crit Damagebefore anything else.
His Basic Attack is decent because it scales off his Defense stat, but because Aventurine’s primary role won’t be to inflict damage, you can save that for last or if you feel like your team needs it. His Traces require the following materials:Scattered Stardust, Crystal Meteorites, Divine Amber, Tatters of Thought, Fragments of Impression, Shards of Desires, Tracks of Destiny, and Past Evils of the Borehole Planet Disaster.

Skill: Cornerstone Deluxe
Provides Aventurine’s team with ashield.The shield’s stat scales off of21.6 percent of Aventurine’s Defense stat, plus 266 more.This lasts for three turns. This Skill can stack.
Ultimate: Roulette Shark
Dealsdamage scaling off of 243 of Aventurine’s Defensestat, gainsone to seven stacks of Blind Bet,and inflictsUnnerveonto the target. When an ally hits a target inflicted by Unnerve, theirattack’s Crit Damage goes up by 13.5 percent.
Talent: Shot Loaded Right
Increases theEffect Resistance of allies with Fortified Wager.When they are attacked, Aventurine gains a stack ofBlind Bet.This Talent also allows him toresist Crowd Control debuffs.
Bonus Ability: Bingo!
When Aventurine uses afollow-up attack, all allies with Fortified Wager can block damage.The amount of damage they can block is scaled off ofseven percent of Aventurine’s Defense stat, plus 96 more.This also grants another Fortified Wager that scales off the same percentage of his Defense stat.
