One type of item you’ll find during your exploration is a key item. These are tools that will grant you abilities that will aid in your puzzle-solving and adventuring. One such tool is the Animal Flute, and this can be used to play various notes. You’ll also find codes that you may play on the flute scattered across the world.
How To Find Animal Flute Codes
The Animal Flute haseight different notes that you can play, and they go higher in pitch in a clockwise direction.The lowest note is played when you point directly to the rightwith the flute.
You can alsoraise the keyof the played note byholding ‘R1’. Holding ‘L1’will lower the note by an octave.
There are hints about the different flute codes scattered across the map. Some are presented as apattern of movement, such as themovement of the fish in the lower level of the warp hub.
Some hints aredisplayed on the wall in the form of arrows. Sometimes, you’ll need touse your UV Lantern to see the codeson the walls.
Take note of things around youthat are insets of eight. Since there are eight notes that you’re able to play on your flute, sometimes the code is revealed by theorder of action of a set of eight creatures.

Once you get theAnimal Flute, you’llunlock the ability to fast travelacross the map. you may use the flute toactivate key warp points, but you can alsoplay different secret codesthatinstantly transport you to certain locationswhen played.

Flute Code For The Egg Puzzle
Once you’vecollected 64 eggs, a flute song will be given to you as a code to play on your Animal Flute.Playing this in the Peacock Roomwith all your collected eggs willopen up a path to a key item, the Office Key.

Flute Code For The Eel Boss
While not exactly a set code, you’ll need toplay a set of notes to beat the Eel bossthat can be found in the south.
The Eel boss can be found bylighting all thecandlesscattered across the map. There arenine candlesthat need to be lit, andnine matchesspread across the map can be used to light them.
The Eel boss will attempt to come closer to eat you, but while it’s not swimming towards you,it will blow a number of bubbles. The direction of the bubbles is thedirection of the notes you’ll need to play on your Animal Flute.
Once you play the correct set of notes, the Eel boss will stop attacking you. It will position itself in the center of the room and will open its mouth. You’ll need toenter it in order to get to the next area.
The item you receive as a reward here is theUV Lantern, which is essential forfinding several flute codesall over the map.

Another thing you’ll need the flute codes for isfinding Secret Rabbits. These are scattered around the map, and some can only be found byfast traveling to them using your Animal Flute.

Another code you’ll need for a Secret Rabbit can be used ina room full of crows near the bear warp point. In the room,you’ll get a code dictated by the birds.
Each bird represents a note on your flute, andthe order in which they chirp is the codeyou need to play.This code is completely random, and you’ll need toget it right in order to release the Secret Rabbitin the room.
This room hastwo yellow buttonsanda red one.Avoid stepping on the red one, because pressing this will cause the crows topick you up and attack you.
Once you get it right,a rabbit from the upper left corner of the roomwill come out.
