Diving deep into the mines will reward you with a variety of ores and gems. Fishing will get you various sea life and treasures. You may also collect forageables in the forests.

Your backpack can only store so much, and you’ll find that you will be needing chests to manage all the items you’ve accumulated throughout your days. As your collection grows, you’ll need to make sure your storage system is organized. Thankfully, there is a way to move your chests around without having to remove any of the items inside.

How To Move Chests With Items

Unlike processing machines such as theKegand theCrystalarium,you can move aChesteven when it has items inside.

To move a chest, you’ll need touse your pickaxe, hoe, or axe. Simplyface the chestyou’d like to move, thenstrike it with your tool.

There are different ways in which you’re able to control the movement of the chest when struck. For instance, you canhit it in the direction of the space you’d like for it to move into.

If there is an obstruction in the direction of the space you’re facing,the chest will move to another available spaceafter you strike it with a tool.

If there is no available space around the chest,it will hop over you and land on the space behind you.

You canhit the chest as much as you wantin order to get into your desired position for it.It won’t damage the chestand the items inside will remain intact.

This can be done withany type of chest, including the Big Chest.
