Because many of the key Pokemon in this deck are Stage 1 Pokemon, you’ll want to go first. This will allow you to evolve immediately on your next turn, helping to secure early Knock Outs before your opponent can evolve their Pokemon.
This deck has anabundance of different attackers, each with varying damage and effects to help youtarget your opponent’s Pokemonand deal the most damage every turn. As a result, you’ll need to plan according to what your opponent has Benched.
Houndoom (non-ex) can deal up to 120 damage to an Evolution Pokemon. This can be helpful withtaking Prize Cards from many Stage 1 or Stage 2 non-Rule Box Pokemonearly in the game. For example, if you’re against Charizard ex, this can helpKnock Out a Charmeleon.
Houndoom ex can be helpful for taking out Pokemon with higher HPswith its Hound’s Fang attack. However, it does do so at the expense of 30 damage to itself. As a result, you’ll want to balance attacking with Houndoom ex by using its other attack, Evil Claw, when possible, as well as utilizing the various attackers in this deck.
Using Potion can also help heal damage from any of your Pokemon, including Houndoom ex.
Several of the Pokemon in this deck, such as Morpeko and Lokix, alsooffer ways to quickly pivot. This can be especially helpful during the initial turns when ensuring you have the right Pokemon in the Active Spot as well as later in the game when recovering from an unexpected Knock Out.
Energy Sticker isn’t a guaranteed Energy attachment, since it relies on flipping a coin, but it can also be a helpful tool for pivoting or quickly setting up a different Pokemon.
