Ever since Helldivers 2 took off its gloves anddeclared the Second Galactic War, things have been heating up pretty significantly on the front. Not only hasa new mech been unlocked thanks to the liberation of Varylia 5, but players are now starting todish out a new superweaponon the planet of Meridia as part of the game’s next Major Order, labeled as “Operation Enduring Peace.”
By unleashing Dark Fluid on Meridia, it seems as though everything is going according to the leaks which were shared around earlier this year, suggesting that the destruction of a whole planet was on the cards. Given that we already knowDark Fluid has the potential to create Black Holes, it seems likely that Meridia will go up in smoke if players are successful in this ongoing Major Order.
Helldivers 2 Is Preparing For The Illuminate
Since we’ve already seen the script, and the game appears to be following it pretty closely, we can expect the imminent arrival of the Illuminate no matter what happens to Meridia. The prevailing theory is that whatever the results of Operation: Enduring Peace are, a wormhole will open up and bring forth the Illuminate, which have beenhunkered down and observing the conflict this entire time, simply readying themselves for a full-scale invasion.
