Summary
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick strongly hints thatGrand Theft Auto 6is coming to PC, with an announcement “in due time”.
As reported byVGC, these comments were made in aTD Cowen conferencein New York this week. Here, Zelnick sheds some more details onRockstar’s plans with PC and makes it clear that a console-only release of GTA 6 isn’t set in stone.

Rockstar Could Still Announce GTA 6 For PC, Hints Take-Two
“Rockstar has an approach to platforms, we’ve seen [it] before,” says Zelnick. “They’ll make more announcements in due time.”
He continues, suggesting that Take-Two isn’t interested in console exclusivity. “I do believe that the right strategy for our business is to be where the consumer is,” he says. “Historically, what this company has done is address consumers anywhere they are, any platform that makes sense, over time.”
He also says that fans should not be concerned by the fact that the PC release of GTA 6 hasn’t been announced yet. “The lack of an announcement is not something that could be set in stone […] the only thing that happens after the lack of an announcement is an announcement, I suppose. Or, continuing lack of announcement, I guess that could happen too.”
When GTA 6 was finally announced, it was confirmed thatthe game would be skipping PS4 and Xbox One. PC wasn’t mentioned at all.
This very much seems to suggest that GTA 6 isn’t going to make a huge departure from how Rockstar and Take-Two have handled multiplatform releases in the past. With this in mind, it might followGTA 5’s strategy of launching onXboxandPlayStationon day one. After this, PC players got the game about a year and a half later. This wait was shortened to just over a year forRed Dead Redemption 2, at least, so we might see the same pattern with GTA 6.
In the meantime, all we know is thatGTA 6 is scheduled to launch in autumn 2025. Right now, it’s only confirmed to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
