Summary

WhenSonic fans declared 2024 the Year of Shadow, even they couldn’t have known how much there was to come. What began as an introduction viaSonic the Hedgehog 3and a long-overdue appearance in a game viaSonic x Shadow Generationshas turned intoLegosets,Funko Pops, andthe recently revealed Sakura range at the Sega store. Now Nendoroid-makers Good Smile have made their own contribution to the Year of Shadow by revealing their first figure based on the brooding hedgehog’s design.

Good Smile shared a first look at its Shadow Nendoroid on Friday, the figure looking down the camera with its fist clenched, a familiar Shadow pose. More images, and potentially price and pre-order details, will beadded to the Good Smile siteat 8:15 pm EST today (Friday), but it seems a few additional images of the upcoming figure have found their way into social media a little early.

Shadow’s First Nendoroid

Tails' Channel has shared extra pictures of the Shadow Nendoiroid confirming some of the interchangeable pieces that will be included. It seems as if Shadow’s clenched fist can be swapped for a hand holding a red Chaos Emerald. The menacing look on his face can also be switched to an even angrier one, possibly because someone appears to have taken his Chaos Emerald away.

One of the pics also shows Shadow standing alongside Good Smile’s Sonic Nendoroid, the first character from the series to get a Nendoroid and third total as the blue blur has since been joined by Tails and Knuckles. Those are usually the first three Sonic characters to be added to any collectibles range and after that, it’s anyone’s guess as to who comes next. At least it was before Shadow started receivingSega’s undivided attention.

Shadow was surprisingly not the focus ofSega’s latest Tubbz drop. Well, maybe not all that surprising since Shadow already has both a normal-sized and miniature Tubbz rubber duck. Espio, Silver, and Rouge got their first Tubbz ducks this week, the first edition versions of which are all available now for $24.99 each.
