Fortnite’s Wrecked Season’s Player Count Is Dropping
Over on the Fortnite Battle Royale subreddit, Redditor First_Factor_3385 shared some player count statistics that compare how Fortnite’s Wrecked season is currently doing compared to Myths and Mortals. Considering that season didn’t appear to be too popular at the time, the results are a little surprising.
The charts show that Fortnite’s player count has dropped a lot quicker in both the Build and No-Build Battle Royale modes. The difference can most be seen with the Zero Build data, which shows a massive drop-off of around 100k players compared to Myths and Mortals. It’s not quite as drastic for Build, but the number of players has still dropped noticeably.
In the comments of the post, Fortnite players don’t appear to be too surprised by the results, with some saying that they’re a bit burned out by Fortnite and its massive grind across multiple modes. Other players specifically cite the car combat as the reason why they’re dropping out of this season early, which was always bound to be the case with such a specific gameplay focus.
It’s very similar to what happened when Fortnite had the water-focused Season, which was a definite low for the game.
It’s worth noting that, even if the Wrecked season’s player count is dropping a bit faster than in previous seasons, it’s worth noting that the numbers are still impressive across all four of the main Battle Royale modes. It’s not like Fortnite is going to be going anywhere soon, but it is clear that Wrecked isn’t sticking with most players.
