Summary

Final Fantasy 14players are unable to complete the Syrcus Tower alliance raid right now, as a bug is completely preventing completion. Players are warning others to stay away until it’s fixed so that they don’t waste their time trying to take down a boss that can’t be beaten right now.

Square Enixis aware of the issue and is currently working on a fix. It’s unclear when this fix will be rolled out as the devs have not given us a timeframe. However, withthe Dawntrail expansion’s early accessstarting today, it’s very possible that the fix will be with us soon.

Square Enix Is Aware Of A Major Final Fantasy 14 Raid Bug

The issue that Square Enix is referring to has been documented by many players, includingReddit user BartMcAllister. Apparently, the issue stems from the Amon fight not playing out as intended, locking players out of completing it and therefore making the raid impossible to beat.

Being one of the longest raids in the game, getting so far in only to find yourself softlocked is hardly ideal. So, while some players are seemingly able to beat it despite the bug, it might be best to stay away until the devs have figured out what the problem is.

If the devs are able to identify the issue quickly, then a fix could be rolled out very soon. After all, Dawntrail is out now in early access now, so a lot of players are logging in - and it would hardly be ideal for so many to get stuck in a lengthy raid. With that said, that also means you have plenty to be getting on with outside of this raid.

Alternatively, we might have to wait until Dawntrail is out for everyone. Its full release is scheduled for July 2, so next Tuesday.
