One of the new faces making an appearance inHades 2is Selene, Titaness of the Moon. You can encounter her during your runs just like you’d encounter any other gods, however rather than a boon she gives you the option of a super move to help you during your run.
Selene has eight total hexes for you to try out, with a variety of different abilities, and on top of that, which boon is the easiest to upgrade changes from run to run. You’re definitely encouraged to not just stick to your favorite Hex, and instead experiment with all of them to make the most out of your night.
What Are Selene’s Hexes?
Unlike the other gods, Selene does not grant you traditional boons. Instead, she gives you access to one Hex a night that you can upgrade. Hexes arespecial skills that activate after you’ve used a certain amount of Magick.
Hexesreset after you clearan encounter, and some require more Magick than you naturally have, so to be able to use them or use them repeatedly, you need some ability that lets you restore Magick.
Which Hexes Can You Get From Selene?
Each run allows you tochoose only one of three Hexes, and you can’t change it. Here are the Hexes you can get as of right now:

Night Bloom

Revives an enemy you killed earlier in the encounter to fight for you.

Twilight Curse

Transforms up to ten foes into sheep, but does not work on bosses.
Moon Water

Every time you use a fountain, gain three charges going forward to heal 25 HP.

Causes you to jump up and damage foes around you.
Lunar Ray

Fires a powerful beam at enemies for a limited amount of time.

Unleashes a powerful delayed attack on a specific area.
What Is The Path Of Stars?
After you’ve received a Hex from Selene, when you encounter her againyou’ll access the Path of Stars, which lets you choose at least three upgrades for your Hex.These upgrades can range from reducing the amount of Magick needed to activate your Hex, allowing you to restore HP, and more.
When you initially receive the option of Hexes from Selene,they’ll be labeled as Crescent Moonglow, Half Moonglow, and Full Moonglow.
A Hex at Half Moonglow gets one extra upgrade per use of the Path of Stars, while one at Full Moonglow gets two. You can also increase the number of upgrades you get withSelene’s keepsake, the Moon Beam.
