Saddle up, partner.Magic: The Gathering Arena’sOutlaws of Thunder Junction introduces a slew of new cards oozing with wild west flavor. The set has intermingled the fantasy of Magic with tropes from old cowboy movies including wicked mounts, hotshot cowboys, and deadly desert adversaries.
Getting the ultimate value out of this set is easily done by purchasing the Outlaws of Thunder Junction Mastery Pass. The pass gives you access to additional in-game currency, packs, and cosmetic features all for simply playing the game as you would normally. Let’s take a closer look at what’s locked up in the vault.

What Is The Magic: The Gathering Arena Mastery Pass?
The arena mastery pass is a purchasable feature that isreleased alongside every new setthat comes to the game; that being said, the pass also includes a free progress track that will reward you with additional packs as you finish games.Players who want the most bang for their buckwill want to go ahead and purchase the pass though as it comes with many more prizes.
Types of prizes includepacks, mastery orbs you can spend for unique card art, emotes, gems, gold, card backs, avatars, and companions.Needless to say, there are a lot of goodies jammed into this seasonal bundle, and the best part is you can get it all for the reasonable price of 3,400 gems or $19.99 without tax.

How To Level Up The Mastery Pass
The catch is that if you want to unlock everything the mastery pass has to offer, you need to play a fair amount of Magic Arena before the pass expiresupon the next set’s release. You unlock mastery pass offerings by earning XP (experience) from finishing games.
The amount of XP you can earn is capped in daily and weekly increments; you earn 250 XP for your first 15 games of Arena won every week. Additionally, you also earn 25 XP for your first 15 games of Arena won every day, sohitting your weekly XP rewards is a lot more important than the daily ones.

You can also earn bonus XP from special events and limited-time queues, so keep an eye out for these if you want to maximize your mastery pass rewards.
The final way to earn XP is through quest completion; in case you’re not already aware, you can only ever have three quests active at a single time. If you don’t already have three quests active, a new quest will be added to your quest log every day, so in other words, make sure you’re consistently completing your quests!

Always re-roll quests worth 500 gold if possible. There’s a chance that you’ll get a quest that rewards more gold and XP instead!

The Outlaws Of Thunder Junction Mastery Tree
You might be wondering what all of the mastery orbs you receive are about. Those can be used to unlock specific card styles and avatars in the Outlaws of Thunder Junction mastery tree; the tree has five branches, and each one is related to one of the colors of magic.
Each branch must be unlocked sequentially. Rewards in each branch go as follows:first is a common card, second an uncommon card, third a rare card, fourth a sleeve, fifth a rare card, and sixth a mythic rare card.
The last mastery orb unlocks at level 107, so you’ll need to farm your fair share of XP through completing daily quests as well as weekly and daily rewards to unlock everything. Let’s be honest though: each of us only needs toget to level 91 to earn that sick Badlands Bronco Companion prize.
