TheKingdom Heartsseries highlights the legendary weapon: the Keyblade. It’s a powerful, oversized key that has the power to vanquish the heartless while also locking and unlocking chests, doors, and the links between worlds. Some have been known to even unlock the darkness within people’s hearts.
The Keyblade is a versatile weapon that can’t be matched in the Kingdom Hearts series, and those who wield it are renowned for their strength. Though Sora’s Kingdom Key is the most recognizable, there are various Keyblades seen throughout the series. That brings the question: just how many Keyblades are there in Kingdom Hearts?

There are a handful of duplicates across the series, so they will only be mentioned in the game they debut in.
Kingdom Hearts
Kingdom Hearts introduced the Keyblade in the first game, and there are 20 Keyblades total across the game, including the two added in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix.
The different designs for the Keyblade are due to the Keychains that can be swapped out. Changing the Keychain alters the entire design of the Keyblade. Below are all the Keyblades introduced in Kingdom Hearts:

InKingdom Hearts 2, even more unique Keyblades are introduced based on the new Disney worlds you’re able to visit. There are a total of 30 Keyblades, though only 24 designs are exclusive to Kingdom Hearts 2.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days, you play as Roxas. The way Keyblades work is a little different, as almost all upgrades run through the Panel System. In this system, you use Gears instead of Keychains.
There are a total of 31 Keyblades, but only 22 are exclusive to this installment.

In the DS version of the game, you can use Wooden Stick and Soul eater as weapons, but they are not Keyblades.

Kingdom Hearts Re:coded
While Kingdom Hearts Re:coded is essentially a rehashed Kingdom Hearts game that fills in the gaps between Kingdom Hearts 2 and the post credits scene, there is a unique Keyblade that appears in this title.
Out of 11 total Keyblades that make an appearance, there is one unique Keyblade that debuts:

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep
In Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, you play as the three Keyblade wielders Terra, Aqua, and Ventus. Each of them share the same keychains throughout their adventures, though the designs vary slightly to match their unique builds.

The only duplicate in Birth By Sleep is Kairi’s Keyblade, Destiny’s Embrace.

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance
In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, you’ll swap between playing as Sora and Riku. Both of them earn new Keyblades as they progress through their Mark of Mastery exams.

The duplicates that appear in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance are as follows:

The long-awaited Kingdom Hearts 3 wraps up the Seeker of Darkness saga and includes brand new Keyblades! There are 24 total Keyblades in this installment, but only 19 unique designs exclusive to Kingdom Hearts 3.
The duplicate Keyblades that appear in Kingdom Hearts 3 are:
Kingdom Hearts Union χ
In Kingdom Hearts Union χ, there are 24 Keyblades that make an appearance, though most of them are technically duplicates. However, due to their upgrades, the fully upgraded Keyblades look quite different from their original counterparts.
Not including the upgraded duplicates, there are only 8 original Keyblades in Kingdom Hearts Union χ.

Kingdom Hearts Dark Road
In Kingdom Hearts Dark Road, you play through the past of a young Xehanort and Eraquas, and there aren’t many Keyblades available. There are three that appear, but two of them are duplicates.
The other two Keyblades that appear are Rainfall and Earthshaker.
