There are several types of upgrades and items for you to buy to both improve your island and express your own personal style. Phil’s Hat Shop is yet another place where you can purchase additional, silly content to make your game more fun.
There are over 30 hat designs available to purchase, which means over 30 new ways to express yourself. And the best part is, unlike gadgets and emotes, you get to keep your hats between rounds!
How To Get Hats
Purchasing hatsworks a little differentlyfrom purchasing other emotes, items, and upgrades on the Sky Island. While gadgets, emotes, and medical items can be bought using video revenue,hats don’t use the same currencyor the same storefront.
To buyregular items, you must go to thekiosk across from the Dive Belland next to your house, but tobuy hats, you’ll need to trek a little further away from your house. you may buy hats fromPhil’s Hat Shop, a building extending from the Sky Island.
You canfind Phil’s Hat Shopby headingtowards the shop kioskand continuing past it until youreach a clearing. At the far end of the clearing is along thin bridgeleading to the floating hat shop. Here, you will see an assortment offive hats at any given time, each with an assignedMeta Coin value.
There are only five hats for sale at a time, butPhil’s inventory refreshes between rounds, and if you check back frequently, you will get more options.
There’sno way to predictwhat hats will be for sale.
YourMeta Coins will never expireand youwon’t lose thembetween days or rounds, unlike regular video revenue which expires after you fail a round. You will also need Meta Coins tounlock Island Upgrades.
You can still buy hats during games hosted by other players, and players you host will also be able to buy hats at your hat shop.
How To Change Hats
Once you’ve bought a hat, you’re able to access it by heading to theface-change screenon the top floor of your Island House. Here, you will be able to swap betweenall of your owned hats.
You willneverlose your hats.
Once you have bought a hat, it willstay with you between days and rounds, and it is permanently tied to your account. You can even access your own hat stash when playing on aserver hosted by another person.
If you want to see how a hat looks on you,head to the mirrorin your bedroom. Here, you can inspect your face, outfit, emotes, and hats.
